On paper, looking at the value of the squads, Southampton should muller us. Having said that, they've only won 3 games in a year or something ridiculous. Their confidence will be low, they will be really nervous. If we get a dodgy decision go for us or get a lucky break, we might just get something even if we don't play well. Football's just weird like that. Neither set of fans will be looking forward to this.

I could see us somehow getting something like a draw from this game or a 1-0 and it will be like when Kean got that draw at Anfield or won at Old Trafford. It will release some pressure and the happy clappers will be back in force and the club will do the equivalent of an open top bus tour in the media and online.

Sounds odd but we need the game to be 0-0 for as long as possible then hopefully score at the end. If we score first, we panic and collapse. If the opposition scores first, we panic and collapse.

I really want us to win because I can't face what will happen to the club when we go down, but it's prolonging the inevitable if nothing changes in the dugout and upstairs.

1-1 Ohashi

The happy clapper phrase raises it's head again.

If Venkys do ever leave, and those that have stopped going do actually come back, we could always rename Ewood.

I'm thinking we could call it
The Moral High Ground.

Some of them are clearly playing a level or two above where they belong. Of the new signings, only Alebiosu appears to be playing at Championship level to me. Haven't seen enough of Morishita to judge fairly, but the rest are League One, possibly League Two standard.

Gestede is non league standards in signing new players.

One does not need to have a moral fiber in one's body to see how the owners have held our club hostage for 15 years.

That's how I am.

I only have the one lad who is nearly 16, and he's every bit as invested in this shitshow as I was at his age.

I think if he eventually gets fed up and doesn't want to go that might be me done too.

Sad times.

My grandson is the same. I thought I knew a lot about football teams when I was his age but he’s like a walking encyclopaedia regarding who plays where and who for. I suppose we can thank the internet for that. He’s really keen but I think he’s got the resilience of youth to keep him going. I was the same age as he is when we dropped out of the old Div 1 in 1966 and I’d be in my early twenties when we dropped out of Div 2. In spite of that I never lost the faith back then. The difference is the club wasn’t being sabotaged by the directors regardless of us not having two pennies to rub together..
His dad is still a fan but he no longer goes, he watches us on TV.

Do you have a similar level of disdain for people who say stop going to a supermarket because the food is crap?

Well with the lovers, defenders, apologists and excusers of the regime still making up an alarming minority of fans it's currently the Aid and Abet365 stadium

Yep.

And to be clear to other above poster, happy clappers doesn't mean people who attend. I go to every home game and lots of away games. Doesn't mean I bury my head in the sand and think what is going on is fine. I despise this regime and want it gone tomorrow.

I feel desperately sorry for ST holders. I know we're not comparable to PL Clubs in terms of price but it's still a fair chunk of money and a significant proportion of your time given up to see us lose practically every game.

Judging by the crowds apparent on TV for the midweek fixtures it would seem a lot are voting with their feet already despite having paid for or committed to the ticket.

'The Project Stadium' or as voted by facebookers and the LT posters the 'Trust the Process Stadium'

Or in reality 'Suhail FC Stadium'.

Wrong end of the stick.

Would you go on their website and criticise those who still shop there?

I don't like it when it becomes fan v fan, none of us are to blame, no need for it whatsoever.

Go the same way as Sheff United.

Ismael appears to be clueless, I can't even see what he's trying to achieve at present.

Squad's awful,  no cutting edge and unable to keep it out at the other end.

Who starts up top for us?

Just stick Gueye up top- at the very least he's massive.  Has shown himself to be useful at times last season- offers more than Ohashi..  I'd like to see Gudjohnsen play off him, cross some balls into box.

Don't expect anything to make any significant difference anyway- we're shit, absolutely devoid of quality.
