They couldn't have been relying on a deal for him going through that late in the window so as such any monies received must have been (from their point of view) a completely unexpected bonus. Yet no sign whatsoever of it this window. And willing stooge Ismael happily went along with it. It's absolutely bonkers. Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) I had sky sports news on earlier today and I thought I saw David Fofana linked with 2 championship clubs. I am in no way suggesting we could afford to pay some of his wages (could be rephrased to willing to pay some of his wages). But if he's going to be playing at this level, he'd likely score the goals needed to keep our head above water this season. Edited 2 hours ago by TugaysMarlboro 2 Quote

Seems pretty likely the 'administrators' down at Ewood will be getting a bonus in their pay packet for delivering such a boost to the owners on deadline day! 2 Quote
DutchRover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Elliot's contract roundup on LT is tragic, completely peddles the club line "would love to extend Tronstad/Toth/fill in player here, but deal seems unlikely..." etc How's about you actually renew them then? Or offer million pound signings more than a 2-year deal? It's just so depressing at this point how much of a joke this club has become. Offering L2 salaries on short term deals and then turning to the fans, too many of whom still lap it up, and saying "well we tried". On the Hyam front too, why not use that money for the pitch you haven't invested in for 15 years? Instead of Ismael ceding his transfer budget? Oh wait there was no budget and we still won't fix the pitch I bet. Common thread is Suhail, this exact same process happened when he last had total control and took us to League 1. Mowbray sidelining him was the only reason who got where we've been in last few years. Suhail would have had us in National league by now if Mowbray hadn't meddled and gone direct to Venkys in India. Rant over, hopefully we sign someone soon haha 4 Quote

Emerald Isle Rover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Only posts on the transfer thread ‘he created’ when he believes theirs is good positive news. There hasn’t been any the club have even broke chaddy. Burning no doubt in my mind whoever the mystery player is on the horizon (if any) he will be praised as a good signing regardless by chaddy Quote

That's not a surprise. Many years ago he used to be quite good natured when people gave him stick, but he has become increasingly cantankerous in recent years unfortunately. I'd imagine Venkys have made it so that constantly trying to find positivity is a serious strain on his mental resources so he is more on edge. Quote

They are a breakaway group from this site. It was set up around when we dropped to league one I think. The "thinking fan's" forum according to some! Edited 1 hour ago by MarkBRFC Quote
