Few players can. Hedges being able to convert into is quite rare as he is very athletic.

I get what you mean, just knowledge of the role albeit on the otherside might not be as hard a transition as say playing CB and being asked to drop out on the left. Time will tell but I'd say its worth a try as he looks confident on the ball and sure of his abilities

Different names given to different members of staff, and then whichever name pops up in the press/twitter etc informs you of who the leak is

If someone gets sacked from Rovers in he next week, they may have been a leak

Another possibility is RoversXtra posted the Donnum story on twitter at pretty much exactly the same time as Jackson (both at 6pm last night according to timestamps on their twitter posts).  So maybe Jackson got caught copying his homework? (or vice versa, but if Jackson was the one being copied, I cannot see a reason as to why he deleted his story)

 

 

Something really strange here, Jackson would never go out on a limb and confirm a player without verification from someone at the club.

That's what I mean,

I think someone from the club was given a false name by Rudy/Pasha as they were suspected (I assume correctly) of being a regular source/leak to Jackson/various ITKs, and when Jackson et al posted the story, the leak was confirmed

With plenty of people involved in transfers and football, it only takes a couple of trusted people to get the wrong info for it to spiral out of control - especially when news is breaking fast. Let's not think everyone involved in football is innocent. Trusted sources can be told lies from agents, managers, owners because they might have an agenda. Journalists aren't in the room where the most private conversations happen so they may need to rely on leaks and sources. 

If it isn't right, from what I've read, the LT has removed the article or sentence from an article. If they now believe it isn't happening then at least they're removing potential false information.
 

I dont think he is in this instance. He is a journalist who said that there is a player not of interest to us, but in at the training ground about to sign.

So he has seemingly got the story totally wrong therefore clearly did not undergo the necessary checks. He posted the story at the exact same time as one of the twitter rumour feeds. And he has since removed the story but despite hours having passed, he has not commented on it.

He has always been quite poor in terms of finding out transfer news. I wouldnt be surprised if the club has played a part to try and make him look bad, and the way they have treated him in general is disgraceful. But in this instance he has totally messed up and its not harsh to say as such.

If it was a ruse to flush someone out, then the clues were there.

Didnt Ismael previously say that we weren't interested in signing a RWB and the rumour about Donnum also came out a few hours after Jackson was fed a lengthy puff piece from the Club speculating that Hedges might be back sooner than expected.

Looks like Jackson subsequently happily regurgitated Rover Xtra's rumour. 

Wasn't Rovers Xtra thought to be someone from within the Club?

I can't believe the fuss about Jackson getting a transfer rumour wrong.

Imo he's incredibly poor at what he does in general which is rather more relevant, but this shouldnt really register on the scale. At least if he acknowledges it was wrong.

Id rather he stuck his neck out occasionally and got one or two wrong than just confirm things after they've already happened and tell us what we already know.

If he plays half as well as he talks then we have a player on our hands.  Really like the part he says that you can have good games and bad games but the one thing you have to do is put in hard work
