I think those 2 were different seasons as Brereton had a year longer on his deal and the O'Brien/Undav situations were the year after Rothwell left.

sorry i stand corrected, venkys have fried my memory, the last 15 years are just one long nightmare

Can we not with Mowbray/Rothwell again please?

Wouldn’t be the worst outcome if we got them both back by Monday evening actually

Another query I can't remember.  When was the last time we signed a player and introduced them on the pitch before a game?

Last season. Augustus kargbo v PNE

Calling it now:

  • Alebiosu sold at the last minute, no replacement signed
  • Unproven, unheard of striker comes in (if we're lucky)

The end.

and a disloyalty badge pinned on ryan by some of our dim fans🙂

Makes more sense why they would want him, Wrexham are forward thinking and looking towards the future, so buying a few young players who can improve over a few years (especially seeing as they haven't yet got an academy) makes sense.  They may even be able to flip him for a quick profit in a year or so if they outgrow him

Rovers on the other hand are looking at this goal shy kid as the answer to their problems up front because they refuse to engage with the financial reality of being a Championship club.  Although once League One is realised, and he outgrows the club, he can be sold on at a nice profit.

I suppose his main attraction for any club at this level is Championship experience whilst still being young enough to not be included in the 25 man squad

They'll be in the Premiership before he comes good, and I doubt he's got the potential to be any use there.

still a boon to their FFP though, will go for a decent amount of profit, not mega money, but  every little helps

Too much smoke around this Alebiosu for there not to be a bonfire by the end of the window.

He's a goner for sure they are just trying to get the best price due to the several alleged clubs after him.

I don't see him getting into their team in order to flip for a profit. Maybe if they loan him to League One and he does well there.

yep, but he will go for more than double the £1.5M he will cost.  And in the meanwhile he will not take up a spot in their 25 man squad due to his age

Whilst other teams try to find every possible way to maximize revenue, Rovers just look at how they can cut costs instead

I wondered why we'd been linked with some cheap RBs this transfer window.

They'll sell.

I thought it was rather too obvious to even wonder about it 😉

I don't see why he will unless he rips it up in a League One loan. Which I'm not actually convinced he can do. Seems overvalued already to me.

You missed the part where VI declares that he always saw as perfectly suited for RWB or RB, depending on which formation he says we are clearly playing.
