Suhail and Rudy must have been looking out of the window during maths lessons at school.

There obviously is a massive excuse for him in why he has struggled in that Sheffield Wednesday team. But there is absolutely no evidence that he is a player that can score goals at this level or is what we need. If you sign him as a project in the summer then fine.

Sheffield Wednesday fans even admist their issues dont seem to rate him too highly or seem bothered that hes leaving.

Him and Afolayan signing seems almost like a best case scenario at this late stage. It wouldnt be good enough.

Afolayan has a bit more credit to his name. Did really well in League 1 and in the 2nd tier in Germany (2 inferior leagues) but obviously has been not up to it in the Bundesliga (a far superior league) so maybe in the Championship which falls between those, he will be useful. But hes not done anything for a year and a half and hasnt played for months. Doesnt scream ready to make an impact right away.

Jorgensen doesnt also look like he will add much.

On an 18 month deal. Bizarre.

Rovers usually do the one year extension job, any news on that ?

What is the point of an 18 month deal? Can only mean he has signed a low-wage deal to put himself in window and find a better team, and we hope to flip him for a profit when we get relegated this summer.

Minimal financial risk for us, cheap deal in 6 months for someone else.

Dapo has signed

He's only signed a 1 and a half year deal.

Not much confidence from either side about staying up then.

16 goals in something like 87 appearances for Bolton in L1.

It's little wonder that there's not much confidence from either side.

Horrible signing.

Portsmouth signing proven Championship-quality players while we're signing nomadic players and Birmingham rejects might well be the difference between staying up and going down.

18 months could be a reflection of the worst quadruple in football (Pasha, Gestede, Owen, Ismael) starting to grow some self-knowledge? Since their transfer track record is 1 in 10, we'd better not tie them down for too long.

What’s the fee? Can’t be more than £1m with a contract no longer than 18 months.

He was out of contract this summer, and has hardly played for them this season (and not at all for 3 months)

Imagine its well under £0.5M, and the length of contract will be so that the player doesn't lose out financially, we will be paying him as much (maybe a little more) over his 1.5 year contract as he would have earned over the rest of this season in Germany

So we have waited until the 1st of February to sign a player that is NOT up to speed?

Somebody should ask Valerien Ismael some very hard questions tomorrow. Let's see if he still comes across as 'understanding'.

I am sure he is still "aligned"

I think there's an element of him being frustrated with the board too. I'm sure he wants nothing more than better players but we are, afsin, penny pinching. Fkn joke.
