Good win, sorely needed. Litherland had two first time shots and made the keeper work for both, which is more than most of our players can do. Fortuitous second goal but without Ohashi’s running I doubt the mistake would’ve happened. When was the last time 3 academy lads made league debuts in the same game?

Pleased that Rev got to see why Tronstad is such an important player for us.

He goes, we win.  He should go every week.

Tronstad called on all three sides to make some noise and Ewood replied.

Good performance especially with Pratt & Litherland playing. Would like to see more of Baradji because he has tallent and vision others don't.

Or could be that you under estimate the quality of our players?

How am I underestimating anyone?

Merely saying that the academy graduates have adapted to the step up far better than some of the signings made from weaker leagues.

Baradji, and Alibousi when he returns, things are beginning to look up at Ewood.

Feed the Gud and he will score.

I just hope that isn't a hamstring injury.

He's desperately poor otherwise though, no wonder he was substituted.

Pratt (in particular) and Litherland have excelled since coming in.

Can't understand why Academy lads don't get their chance first, as opposed to signing a load of dross from obscure European Leagues then only bringing in Academy lads if there's an injury crisis/suspensions/international call ups etc.

He was injured, holding the back of his leg, that's why he came off.

How many times have you heard, he works hard but doesn't score goals?

There aren't many 6 yard box players about,he's our most important player.

Good performance and win. Very much deserved and we weren't outplayed or bullied by Millwall. Every player stood up to the challenge today.

great to get an early goal, Feed the Gudjohnsen and he will score. Rovers played on the front foot first half and second half more pragmatic.

Litherland good on Debut. Miller, McLoughlin and Pratt solid at the back 3. Pickering good at left wing back. We should stick with him there or Hedges, rotating. having Tronstad and Cantwell back fit and starting helps this team so much.

Second goal, well Ohashi wont score an easier one but he made the Millwall defender head the ball.

Second half, we were more pragmatic but we didn't allow them many chances and I was expecting them to be hammering us. It didn't happen. We could have scored a third with Miller header.

Henriksson gave us a better performance up front than Gueye would have done who I think is done here now. Atcheson did fine and steady away. Baradji looks better game by game

Delighted for the players, Ismael and the staff we got the win today. It was deserved and I couldn't be more happy and delighted today with the win, performance, and the correct prediction on the score.

Can't agree. He is the focus point up front whilst Ohashi works off that in the channels.

his link up play is good, our problem is how we play the ball from the back to the striker with too many straight balls and not enough down the channels/over the top ball

That team and squad is frightening.

still of that opinion post match?

I would say how is Millwall and PNE squads got the quality to be top 6 before today's game?

FOI gone in yet for match attendance?

It was more full than versus Oxford but still definitely less than 10,000. I'm gonna guess about 8k.

The good news:

The ticket worked. Let a lad in the turnstiles booth actually scan the tickets. (Cant see the point if you need someone there to scan multiple tickets etc but hey ho)

We won. Good job they gifted us a second. Could have been a different game without that.

Academy graduates Litherland and Pratt excellent.

Baradji looked very good when he finally made an appearance.

The bad news

Soul less experience, barely 7k on no matter what the official figure may be.

Unexceptional game between 2 poor sides.

Ewood is in a right state - from Jack's statue to the ground itself.

My mate up from London commented we had zero presence up front. Generally the two strikers were either on either flank with no-one in the middle or they got outmuscled and the ball was straight back on us.

As good as he looked, Baradji isnt much use if he can only manage 25 mins.

Enjoyed the win but unless things change drastically, probably won't be back until the same time last year.

Frankly, it should have been 1-1 (Miller header and Taylor header). Neither keeper much to do otherwise -2 errors for our 2 goals.

Incidentally, can you imagine the flak here if Pears had done what Crocombe did for our first goal? 😉

Classic Rovers though. Small crowd and all sorts of protest stuff in the week prior – Rovers win. As has been said, keep up the protests, they are good for results 🙂

He puts the ball in the net more often than anyone else. That's his game, getting into the right place at the right time and after a rough start he's showing he can be a good poacher at this level.

Its on the rest of the team to provide good enough service when you have a poacher like that in the side.

If he does keep putting the ball in the net I don't really mind.

It's if he doesn't the problem arises as I still think his all round game is terrible.

He's like Jordan Rhodes but nowhere near as clinical in front of goal and with a worse all round game imo. However if he can notch something approaching 20 goals he'll do for me.

Pretty much. He's scored 7 goals before Christmas in a struggling team.

I wish he'd win more headers as a target man, but I can't really complain about the output. He's a goal scoring striker.

We also have a young Irish striker Oriadan (pardon the spelling) i think hes out on loan. Were 6pts clear of the drop zone, with a game in hand before the Christmas games. Rovers supporters can sleep a bit easier for once.

If you mean O'Riordan, he is a centre back.  Not an academy player. we signed him from Crewe

Feed Gudjohnsen, decent balls in the box, and he will score. We've been poor at putting decent balls in the box, but we're improving.
