I remember when the Rovers seemed to underestimate the crowds, rumor was, it was to lower their tax bill.

Funny. I was telling my kids about that very thing. I remember the collective murmur, when the "attendance" was given out!

Yes some of the under reporting of the Crowds for bigger games back in the day was quite ludicrous - presumably to save on tax.

I've often wondered how that works these days the other way round. ST monies are already banked so there's no harm done from a tax perspective in massaging the figures upwards to make them look more respectable, but some of the over-reporting recently looks way in excess of numbers of missing ST holders.

But surely no-one would make themselves potentially liable for tax they shouldnt be paying!

Because the aim is to not only make a visual impact but to hit Venkys in the pocket.

Admittedly one game won't make a difference but in my opinion this could be a turning point for a lot of people.

I've had a season ticket all my life but I'm seriously considering not renewing next season.

Same here, its sad to see the decline at Ewood.

Window dressing…ghost attendees could include tickets issued for player/staff complimentaries, guests, media etc to make it look good for Pune. No income, but a bigger “attendance”.

You don't have to be season ticket holder, to support a club.
