rovers11 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Interesting that they've released a statement about it. They normally dismiss these kinds of things as a "minority of fans". The fact they've released a statement confirms they are worried and ticket sales for the game are very low. Even the most patient of fans have lost patience. Or maybe it's more because no one can face watching De Neve, Henriksson, et al anymore. The only downside is that it gives Val a ready made excuse when we lose the game. He'll blame the lack of fans in the ground for us losing. 3 Quote

Generic AI inspired waffle which roughly translates as: "We know there's a boycott planned for Saturday and we really couldn't give a **** but we have to pay lip service to it and say something" Bit naughty to hint there might be trouble or a nasty atmosphere. Ironically that might persuade a few more to stay away. Edited 1 hour ago by RevidgeBlue 1 Quote

They're clearly rattled but at the same time trying to sow division in the fanbase. We lose and it's "Well, the boys didn't get the backing from the fans" Win and it's "The real fans were excellent and backed the lads through thick and thin" For most people, these words are totally meaningless but it will get the happy clappers chirping again. wilsdenrover Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago How many more fans will it take to make up for the players Ismael says we can’t compete without?? 🤔 1 Quote
cesus Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago "The club remains committed to work constructively with supporters and values their passion". That is absolute horse shit and should have been called out by Radio Lancs. They have been sent an open letter by multiple supporters groups and have ignored it, that is a fact. So they are clearly not committed to working with supporters at all, and Radio Lancs are a vessel peddling questionable statements. 1 Quote
John Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago Assume there will be a response to the club’s (pathetic) statement. It raises serious questions about the continued silence on key issues. The ongoing lack of respect for the fans, combined with the club’s arrogance and contempt, is simply not acceptable. 1 Quote

dallydally Posted 22 minutes ago Posted 22 minutes ago Pathetic "statement". They have NO idea how to run a successful football club! 1 Quote

Id say it's the other way round. I read nothing at all into them issuing a "statement" They have to put out a response of sorts otherwise it looks bad. It's whether the response is genuine and from the heart or offers any hope of improvement that is relevant from our point of view. Imo it's just the usual meaningless platitudes and lip service. If anyone thinks they're genuinely worried, fair enough, Im not going to try and dissuade them. If season ticket sales were to fall off a cliff, THEN I think they'd be worried and have to make a genuine effort. It all has to start somewhere! Quote

That's some contradiction, just reading your second line and your last paragraph. 1 Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted 8 minutes ago Posted 8 minutes ago I understand and respect the need for us to make a statement. Believe me I do. I rather like what Wednesday fans did. Waited for 15 mins outside to make their point and then came in. whatever we feel, we desperately need the points tomorrow and giving Watford a home crowd won’t help the players. If we lose and Portsmouth win at home Sunday then we are 4 points adrift with a game more played I think it is a foregone conclusion that no player of any worth is going to join us, especially with this unrest. We are damned if we do and damned if we don’t. Quote
