  1. Perhaps you should maybe think about the fact that such posts are also intended to lean on the manager and the club to show that some of us are not happy and for what reasons... Rather than just clapping along and lapping up his ramblings and sub standard tactical decisions. Do I expect that he will be sacked? No but regardless of what stage of the season we are at some of us are not happy with the man in charge and haven't been for a while. Despite if you agree with it or not we have the right to express that opinion and questioning our football knowledge doesn't exactly endear you to these people or inspire decent debate either. I think you've been lucky that D. E. has been pretty decent and patient with you because some of us certainly wouldn't have been.
  2. Don't bother. People call you out for having too simplistic a view (like Mowbray) thinking you've formed an opinion on one game, completely ignorant to the fact that most of us have formed this opinion since February. If it doesn't suit your point of view then you don't know anything. The fact is Tony Mowbray is too nice a man for people to accept that he's not a good enough manager to take us forwards. I appreciate that's a really tough thing to take for some people, we all want to to see nice people do well in football but it's a brutal and results based business. If people want to ignore the facts since February, his nonsensical ramblings in the press and his lack of failings to sort out our defence when stats are ABSOLUTELY clear, well... That's up to them. Some people will likely be happy with mediocrity in this league but I fear based on what I saw yesterday that mediocrity would be an achievement. Someone said a while back that it's gone a bit Gary Bowyer mk2 and I'd absolutely have to agree.
  3. Ah, the classic "you know nothing about football" if your opinion is different to mine... The hallmark of any quality debate. I stopped reading after that.
  4. Its not about "one game".
  5. If you asked him the answer for 2 + 2 he wouldn't give you 4. The fella has lost it.
  6. This exactly what I've been saying all day. It's pointless shouting at Bell, Bennett, Mulgrew etc for how poor they are, we know they're not good enough, they play almost like they know it too, the source of the problem is the man in the dugout (a former defender) who can't see it.
  7. Abso-bloody-lutely. Pretty much nailed my thoughts on the subject again there. This is DEFINATELY NOT reactionary, most of you know my thoughts particularly of his treatment of Joe Rothwell from last season. This is a culmination of all the things mentioned in my first post. I think he somehow thinks he has a free reign at saying anything he wants without the fans questioning him because of him getting us back out of league 1 and it generally being a low pressure job, especially in comparison to other genuine promotion contenders... It's almost like he thinks we'll lap it up and trust him without question. He's absolutely blagging it at the moment and did so far the second half of last season. Our promotion momentum ran out and he's left without the skills to push us on. It's a shame really to see someone so decent just not be up to the job.
  8. Exactly my thoughts.
  9. I'd genuinely rather have Johno.
  10. Exactly. Doesn't matter how good we are goinng forward when we have a league 1 back 4.
  11. I've got a firm grip, based on the countless sh*te performances of last season and the same utter garbage back 4 which he has failed to address. If you don't agree then that's fine. I got behind the team today like always do, so I haven't a clue what you're going on about there fella.
  12. No disrespect but I couldn't give a flying f*ck about his relations at Rovers. He gets judged by us by what he puts out on the pitch. He is absolutely putnofnhis depth. All of a sudden we look like a side capable of a relegation battle rather than top 6 contenders.
  13. No lessons learned. No possession football. No plan B. No Joe Rothwell. No defence. No defenders signed. No method. No Ryan Nyambe. No positivity. No progress. No idea. You're a nice bloke, you've done a good job but this is as far you will take us. Don't ruin your legacy, do the right thing and step aside. Charlton are relegation fodder so what does that make us? Go.
  14. Just go Mowbray. You're an embarrassment.
  15. Win lose or draw... The manager needs to go if we're to progress. Too stubborn or too stupid to learn from his mistakes. I can't stomach another season of his utter footballing incompetence. He's done a good job to get us where we are but that's as far as he will ever take us.
  16. Furious. Seasons not even started and I'm already f*cking fuming at him.
  17. If we lose and Rothwell doesn't start... This messageboard will be carnage.
  18. Just been described as "under the radar, ones to watch and sleeping giants" on talksport.
  19. I read Aneke is out injured.
  20. By the sounds of it Grayson knows all about him from watching him play with his son in the u23's. Sounds like he's watched him a lot.
  21. Good look to the nut, I think that's his level, I don't see a player with hunger to do it right at the top level of football, in time he could be an OK championship forward but we can't afford him time here so it's a good move all round. Time to move on Smallwood. I'm actually surprised a club like Blackpool aren't interested in him too tbh. Ideal player to help them out of that league.
  22. F*cking dreading this happening. Not that I don't want us to win like...
  23. Aren't they our only prospects at left back?
  24. “Have we got enough to take the sting out of them? Do we have more quality than them? Saturday will show whether we do or don’t." I should hope we do fella, you've spent a fortune in comparison!
