  1. Team selection is basically a scan through who’s been on Dack’s Instagram for the week. Coincidence that you never see Rothwell or Nyambe on there?
  2. Yes you don’t always know whether signings are leaders or not. But it’s not rocket science that a 21 year old inexperienced kid on loan isn’t exactly going to come in and be a leader. He’s basically making Tosin a scapegoat for the poor run whilst Lennihan is out injured. This lad wouldn’t still be a Man City player if he wasn’t better than Lennihan. And if he’s not better then why the hell did we splash £1m on him. Time to go Tony.
  3. Off the pitch incident aside, Keogh is exactly the type of no-nonsense defender we should have signed in summer. Is he available now?
  4. I can’t see Mowbray being sacked. I think he’d be safe even if we got relegated. Him and Waggot will continue to go over to India with their PowerPoint presentation and the owners will turn a blind eye.
  5. I said it a few games back, there's no doubt we are in a relegation battle this season. A poor league one defence. Non scoring strikers and a manager tinkering with formation and tactics. All the ingredients are there. Mowbray needs to resign.
  6. We've been absolute bottle jobs under Mowbray since day one. Leaders needed in summer but we've failed to sign any. Mowbray himself said we needed to sign guys who were 25-28 yet in the starting team today the new signings were youngsters in Tosin and Gallagher. Mowbray needs to admit failure and walk.
  7. Just the 1 shot on target today (again) per the BBC
  8. League One standard defence.
  9. Some of us are old enough to remember being 2-0 up and cruising at Brentford. Long way to go yet.
  10. Well at least it will have baffled their scouting team.
  11. If Bennett has been picked at CM ahead of Travis and/or Downing I give up, I really do.
  12. Yet we spent £1m on a novice from City who isn’t even our player
  13. Against a local rival, with 4,000+ making the effort to go, it is an unacceptable attitude to have, especially given the amount of money spent by Mowbray over the last 2 seasons.
  14. Preston to win odds of evens at the bookies - as close to a license to print money as I’ve seen for a long time.
  15. I see a lot of similarities between the way Rothwell is being treated as Josh King. King had flashes of brilliance and some poor games but never got the chance to start regularly. Despite that the fans could see King had it in him to be a good player. If Rothwell left us to another championship team and played every week I think he’d show his class.
  16. Mentioned it on the other thread, but I think this new player analysis technology they have this season is causing Mowbray to overthink it. The players have probably had enough of not knowing what the hell they are meant to be doing game after game.
  17. It was inevitable after 2 shocking transfer windows. He can’t blame the infrastructure as he’s had long enough to set up a scouting team. All this new technology they have brought in this season is leading to him overthinking every match. I’ve said before, I don’t think the players know what they’re doing with all the different systems. Injuries, players out of position, it has all the hallmarks of an end of tenure run. He must go.
  18. No idea who will be in the team. Wouldn’t surprise me to see a random start for Buckley or Rothwell. Evans is a shoe in to start.
  19. Midtable is dreamland at this minute with our defence and lack of goalscoring strikers. Big relegation battle ahead IMO.
  20. It’s quite an achievement to go into a transfer window with a priority of sorting out the defence, to come out of it actually weaker than when we started. My prediction is that Mulgrew will be back in Jan. City lad will jump ship and we’ll have Williams back at LB. Farcical situation completely of Mowbray’s own making. The season is already a write off.
  21. Probably going off to Dubai or Portugal again playing golf and drinking like last international break then.
  22. I think they've lost themselves with the constant changing formation and being out of position. Holtby out wide?? It's like Souness signing Tugay and sticking him on the wing.
  23. Agreed. We've got no identity, no consistent game plan , no character. The players aren't good enough to play different systems every week. Getting out of this league involves playing to your strengths and sticking to it. I genuinely believe there is potential with this squad, but they are being shuffled around and played out of position every week. There's no escaping the fact that we're 2 or 3 defenders short of a top side too.
