It's because they have an injured Tella and a few of their players are tiring. No doubt they'll all be back full of energy and Tella will be back on Tuesday. -

They were already all over us, ten minutes before a sub was made. As soon as Szmodics scored the team took their foot off the gas. Either that or as someone else mentioned, their nerve went. -

Not sure if we overcame it. Some of Dolan's decision making was terrible in the first half and he wouldn't have been playing there had we had a decent centre forward. Our lack of firepower means we can't kill off teams. -

Shout out to Sammy Szmodics, the standout player that gave 100% passion for 90 minutes this evening. I've been critical of him previously, but if only we had more of this attitude within the squad. Stick him with a decent striker and they'll score loads next season. -
Bit unfair to compare to Carrick considering he's got the Championship's top goalscorer who has scored well over double what our top scorer has this season. I'd be happy to say that if we had a 28 goal striker in the squad, we'd be challenging for the automatics. The club has done that thing they do under Venkys ownership - another bizarre and unfathomable decision. Bringing in a manager that needs players to play a certain way to much fanfare, but then not backed him. It's like not selling Rothwell and Brereton then Broughton saying, we have to work within a budget. It makes no sense. Any other club would have sold them and brought in what we needed. Weird CEO, strange recruitment, odd owners and for years now a bunch of players with the mentality that 45 minutes effort will do.

I've been watching us concede goals due to sitting back for about six years. We have too many bottlers. -

Especially as Szmodics did what Covs goalkeeper did, but we didn't get a goal from it. -

We were inviting pressure before the changes. Been doing it for years. We need that mentality kicking out of the club. -

Why didn't Hedges take it to the corner flag if he wasn't keen to take the keeper on. Waste some time, try and win a corner. And I'm not sure what Wharton was doing. He looked like a good player last season but he's completely gone to pot. JDT frustrated me today with the line up but I blame the players, their attitude changed as soon as we scored not after the subs. You'd think with losing 2 points to Coventry mid week we would have made sure we did everything to keep it in their half. Brereton dribbling with the ball earlier then losing it when we had players committed. Absolute lunacy at that stage in the game. At the end of the day we needed better players and the club clearly didn't want play offs this season, because it's ran backwards. -

Nothing to do with JDT. As soon as Szmodics scored the entire team thought they'd won and started strolling. We've had that mentality for years. Hedges passing it to their keeper when he was one on one summed up the attitude of the team. Weak and cocky. And those absolute fuckers in the boardroom must answer the question, why leave the club without a natural goalscorer when we're in the play off positions? We've fucking limped along all season and they allowed this to happen, just like they did last season. -

Get Travis and Dolan off. I'm not sure if Garrett is the answer with but Travis has been diabolical, no one could be any worse. -

Why are we always passing to a player with two players on him? Blimey Dolan's having a poor game. -

So Preston are now just dropping to the floor when they fancy a break in play. -

Part of the problem is that Travis is having an especially poor game. -

It gives every team a reason to come at us every match. Easy to commit players against a team without a centre forward. -

Poor passing play from the off, I'm not expecting much from this. Why didn't Dolan hit that excellent cross on the volley? I suppose that's the difference between a CF and a winger. -

As he sais, Dolan plays better wide. I prefer him to the current Brereton we have in that position. We were playing better as a team when Brereton was out. Thomas didn't play well either, but with him on the opposite wing instead of Hedges I think we offer more threat. -

Right at the moment it happened that’s what I said. He pushed it towards goal with his hand and then ran with it taking out Pears in the process. He didn’t handball it into the net but he did use his hand to control it. He saw an opportunity and took it. Also I’ve seen goals disallowed for far less on the goalie. I don’t want to see Brereton in a Rovers shirt again for that offside prior to it, combined with standing there doing absolute nothing for their corner. -

They don’t get it. The option is JDT, who they aren’t happy with but they freely admit he’s not been backed and with O’Brien and a striker we’d be assured of a play off place. The only manager to have us in the play offs all season, since we went down. Or option 2, not fussed about him staying. He goes and next season we have Gregg Broughton bringing in the managerial equivalent of George Hirst.
