One thing to note, Clarkson is a teenager, Mowbray shouldn't be throwing him into high pressure situations like that expecting him to deliver. Poveda is 21 (22 in February) and should be a lot better than that in the Championship. They could improve but I can't see either of them featuring for their parent clubs in the future.

Edun has been purchased, I would hope, because he's a decent defender. Did you not watch the game? The depth to the squad was plain to see. Mowbray's tinkering was plain to see. The loanee quality was plain to see. Last season we had the second top scorer and finished 15th. Goals have never been the problem.

Gallagher off yes, but Dolan should have been kept on as there's always a chance he'll cause problems. Especially considering the inclusion of Poveda and Clarkson which made ball retention next to impossible. Their third goal was from Clarkson losing it in their half.
