He did well with little financial support at Preston. He always seemed to have them playing with sprit and belief. I’d prefer one of the others though.

Going to QPR to nick a point. Says everything about him. Goes there to nick a point but puts no effort into a game plan to do it. Just goes with the formation that didn’t work last time. I’ve said it before, Mowbray is a lazy manager. He’s the equivalent of someone playing football manager and spamming the same tactics/formation win or lose. Then getting frustrated and doing something else till he hits some luck. Wins a few then gets injuries, forced to make changes then forgets how he got lucky. Spam again. Ad nauseum. I wouldn’t be surprised if little to no thought goes into it. The only time he could give a toss is if it affects him personally.

I never thought I’d say this (I’ve always thought his teams have looked turgid) but Steve Bruce could be a good fit for Rovers right now. There are others. Wilder, Lampard, Bilic, Hughes, Neil.

The really scary thing is that in Pune it’s just Wednesday.

It’s what he’s known for doing. It was frustrating to see him tinker with the team/formation “trying to nullify the opposition” in League 1 against clearly inferior teams. He could get away with it in that league and he’s not bright enough to figure out he can’t do it in this league. He was just as much an idiot doing it back then but he had the luxury of having a very good league 1 side at the time to cover up his mistakes.

For anyone who doesn’t know. That’s what we call “full Mowbray”. He went full Mowbray last night.

How long till Mowbray throws his toys out of the pram like last year and spends the rest of the season on his arse?

I don't know if it is that. Every season he gets a daft idea in his head then stubbornly sticks with it, and it would appear he does it at every club he's ever been at.

Look at the line up, look at the formation, look at the tactics. Was only going to go one way tonight. The kid Clarkson starting in an already weak midfield thanks to 3-5-2 (actually 5-3-2). Had a chance to go 6th tonight. When is he going to show some dignity and leave?

4 shots none on target. Awful. It used to be his possession football that was killing the team (it's currently 32%), now it's this strange 5 at the back garbage.

Tony f***ed it when he completely changed the gameplan when he had a few injuries.

Joint 6th if we win. Joint 10th if we draw. 11th if we lose.

Terrible team selection, terrible formation. We were doing okay with 4 at the back, then he decided to go five because he didn't have anyone to replace Nyambe so he thought having two defenders out of position would somehow make it right. Stupid decision but he was backed into a corner. However why he's persisted with it when it began a series of poor results I don't know. Well I do know, he's thick.

We were better defensively when we weren't playing 5 at the back. Along came injuries and he changed everything, everything went to shit and typically he kept doing it even though the players came back.

If you thought people were moaning about money being spent then you completely missed the point.

You can always tell it's coming when the draws start mounting up and certain posters start apologising for him. I reckon despite some bizarre formation, there'll be lots of effort from the team along with a bit of excitement here and there. That will be followed by either Mowbray being so slow to react with substitutions and/or going full Mowbray and replacing star performers with the likes of Poveda, Butterworth and Magloire.
