  1. Why is Mowbray telling them to defend deep??? When we do that we're sh**.
  2. Derby aren't even working to get possession, Rovers just giving the ball away cheaply. Have we put more than two passes together yet?
  3. Looks like we are continuing the shambles of the first half.
  4. Defence looks lightweight but Smallwood, Evans and Palmer are in the wrong league.
  5. I remember that, really nice sunny day and a brilliant win.
  6. https://www.rovers.co.uk/matches/fixtures-results/first-team/201819/september/derby-county-vs-blackburn-rovers-on-18-sep-18/
  7. I'd like to see Reed play despite the free kick he gave away, and that's partly because we were defending so deep. Gave Villa a lot of problems at the back when he came on.
  8. I hope we don't get that linesman again. Seems like the type who judges tricky players offside because their eyes can't keep up with them.
  9. @Stuart from the previous thread. There was another angle right along the line that showed it wasn't offside.
  10. It's what Mowbray does, score then defend deep is his game plan isn't it? That offside goal wasn't offside though.
  11. I think I grew up listening to too many Andy Gray commentaries in the 90's but I'll try and spell it out in the future.
  12. It is but I can't see us doing it regularly with that defence. Is our attacking line up strong enough to make up for our defensive frailties? We've just taken an expensive gamble on a young lad who has never been prolific, perhaps if we had picked up someone with more of a track record I'd be more confident. When I say score more than concede, by that I mean he's expecting to concede one or two on average per game. Either that or he believes a league 1 defence can cut it over a season in a superior league.
  13. This is the main worry. It does look as if Mowbray wants to score more than we concede for this season. The other worry is putting all our eggs in one basket with Brereton when we could have spent that on a couple of solid championship players. I really hope that Brereton turns out to be worth it. Hard to judge him from yesterdays performance.
  14. I think some people would enjoy this site more if it consisted of a single button with a love heart emoji on it. You know we haven't played well when Chaddy is critical. That worries me more than Dacks injury or our defensive prowess, it must have been bloody bad.
  15. It was a reaction to the resident point-scoring superfans on here who complain that you can't pick apart a managers decisions or a performance, no matter what. Some of the same people who were quick to jump on people's backs when Kean was taking the club apart, the same people who did sweet fa to try and quell it and in some cases blamed the fans. Fancy people feeling down that we lost 4-1 within a couple of hours of the match ending. I would never have expected it.
  16. Raya was the one who pulled off the two fantastic saves. We were just as inept at defending during those first half moments as the second half, which was the point I was making. I just don't agree that we played particularly well in the first half. We scored against the run of play and Bristols heads dropped. Their manager knew our players weren't up to much so told his at half time to go for us, and that was that. I don't think bringing Graham off helped matters as after that we had no one to hold the ball up.
  17. I think you watched a different game to me Philip. Before Mulgrew scored we could have been 2-0 down only for reflex saves by Raya. He was keeping us in the game till someone drugged his half time oranges.
