  1. “I understand Blackburn Rovers historically should be fighting in the Premier League, well, there’s a lot of teams who would say that. " I bet he didn't dare say that in his job interview.
  2. Any of the above a MASSIVE upgrade. Like going from a broken Atari 2600 to a brand new PS5.
  3. I remember there wasn't much love for him when it was announced. Plenty of good will and giving him support but with a general feeling of "why him?"
  4. Someone mentioned he was on the scrapheap when he arrived here and they weren't wrong so I doubt he'd give up a good thing, especially with no crowds or chairman on his back.
  5. "It's embarrassing to go 10 games without a win. I'm an honourable guy." Tony Mowbray resigns as Coventry (L1) manager - September 2016 About 4 months later he was Rovers manager.
  6. Be great if Souness could be convinced to return, if only to slap some sense into Venkys.
  7. Yes and defenders score goals occasionally but they aren't strikers.
  8. We know he's at a club higher than us in the table. I doubt he'd leave for basket case owners like ours. We'll end up getting another from the scrapheap.
  9. I used to think of him as the micro budget Sam Allardyce.
  10. It's comforting to know they represent the absolute cream of football tacticians. Take your pick guys, the future Blackburn Rovers manager.
  11. For me, that time we signed a 19 year old kid who had barely played for a stupid amount of money when we badly needed defenders. It was at that point the penny dropped that Mowbray had a screw loose. I've tried to give the fellow a chance but he makes some spectacular blunders.
  12. So basically, same advisors different name.
  13. Agree you can’t compare him to Kean and Coyle, especially Kean but... You were defending Coyle to the point of trolling when he was manager.
  14. It's just utter nonsense, if at any point Mowbray received a better offer he'd have been off like a shot. The most important thing is the club as Mowbray himself has stated.
  15. What's that got to do with now? Not just results, but his general attitude towards the team and the fans. The club comes first, not sentimentality.
  16. It's looking like we have a Coyle-like appointment right now with the increasingly bizarre tactics and press interviews.
  17. You're right Tony, and it's because of chancers like you that we aren't. Tony Mowbray. What a wanker.
  18. "We’ll judge it at the end of the season. Focus now is to keep getting more points. First and foremost we have to strive to get 70 points. 75 usually gets you in the play-offs. We’ve got 17 games to go now so we’ll keep going." "We only used it because we were playing Barnsley. We were just trying to nullify what they do. Today we just tried to nullify them. I thought they put the gameplan into action very well but as you say, we fell down on basics." https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/barnsley-blackburn-rovers-mowbray-reaction-19858728
  19. Bit of a theory. Mowbray sat there, inanimate whilst Venus is managing the team. Anyone seen Weekend at Bernies?
  20. No reason? There it is, he freely admits that there's no reason behind his actions. He just rolls the tombola and it's all left to chance.
  21. The tide has really turned now on social media. Looks like the penny has finally dropped. I think there's only Chaddy left.
  22. Sat on his arse all game slumped in his seat, again.
  23. Good goal, good ball. What a shame we have a manager who hasn't a clue how to get the best out of these players.
