  1. Hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm plotting, are they? In a Rovers World interview the Admiral is urging the players to consistency. Let's hope he has some effect. I've had a hard week and a win would cheer me up no end. Go, Lads! Shillito 15 - that flashing red thingy on your signature is doing my head in .
  2. They were lucky to win though. LP were all over them for the first part of the match.
  3. QUOTE(preston blue @ Sep 25 2005, 08:57 ) why did the Rovers kid with the Stars and Stripes get chucked out? I have yet to make a trip to Mould Trafford (the footy one). I've a mind to go next season with a USA flag with a Rovers Crest in the middle.
  4. Well the bloke on the left is Oliver Hardy. And don't know about the one in the middle, must be a stand-in for Stan Laurel
  5. We noticed that chant. Good job Dwight Yorke wasn't around or he'd have wanted the lot of them banned Now, who does everyone reckon we'll get next round? My money's on Newcastle, just to rub in last weekend's debacle!
  6. I heard someone who couldn't pronounce Zura's surname had resorted to calling him 'Jimmy'. So 'Jimmy' it is as far as we are concerned from now on! Cracking lad, though. Works hard, good pace and makes a real nuisance of himself. Can't fault Dickov and Gray for the work they put in tonight. Not sure what to make of Savage's contribution. Bentley - not quite there yet but if Souness hadn't stolen Lady Luck he would've scored. Bellamy - whhhhhhoooooooooo! Bert frustrating as usual. Tugay, gave his all, quite a bit of showboating and knackered completely by the end! The Admiral steadfast and Lucas had quite a good game. Brad didn't have a great deal to do. Strange referee and ass. referees. No idea what all the 'offside' nonsense was about. On one occasion right opposite us there were three Huddersfield players in a line plus two more in front of them; no sign of any Rovers players and the flag went up for offside. Perhaps it was just in case. Eddie N had a word with the fourth official at half time and it seemed to do some good as the flag waving was a bit more limited after that! I was glad I went. Well worth the cost. Only drawback - was sitting near the bench and had the privilege of Eddie bawling out his instructions to the team in my ear.
  7. Yawn................
  8. I don't think I'm even going to be able to bear to listen to this match on Rovers World Rooney 4 Rovers 0
  9. No, but I'm seriously considering it for their breakfast
  10. Shame, I was going to cook those nice toadst- er mushrooms that I found in the garden................ Still, if you're too busy.....
  11. I'm sure I heard/read somewhere that MH had originally seen the two whilst on his travels with the Wales team.
  12. JJ's just got his driving licence (congrats, JJ). Runs out in 2058, so he'll be okay then .............
  13. Met Paul Dickov a couple of times after pre-season and reserve, when he was coming back from injury. Great guy, talked to us for a little while and the family (not me ) had pics taken with him. Had a joke with Flitty in a traffic queue before Tony Parkes' testimonial. When we went to the shop for the kit launch, I said 'Hi guys' to Kuqi, Bert, Morten and Robbie; had a laugh because Robbie thought I'd said 'Hi gorgeous' to him!!!!! Miss Roversmum had her photo taken with them. Had a couple of chats with Robbie in the car park at various times. Last season coming out of the shop met Jon Stead, stopped for a chat and he was distraught about his lack of goals. Lovely lad. Sat by Amo at a reserve match when he first came - think he was staying with Grabbi and had come to watch him play. Had a chat with Colin Hendry in the car park at reserve matches a couple of times. Also spent some time talking to Dwight Yorke when he first came - Trinidad and Tobago connection - thinking of popping over to see his mum when we go over there (hopefully) next summer.
  14. Boa Morte? Well all I can say is that he must intimidate the refs. I'd book the blighter just for being on the pitch
  15. According to the Sun's list; Savage has a record of 13 fouls and 4 yellow cards. Their list reads: Savage (Blackburn)...13 fouls (4 yellow cards, 0 red) 25 points. Hughes (Portsmouth). 15 (3, 0) 24 Davies (Bolton)..........21 (1, 0) 24 Boa Morte (Fulham)...21 (1, 0) 24 Parker (Newcastle)....11 (2, 1) 23 Davids (Spurs)............10 (4, 0) 22 Viafara (Portsmouth)..11 (3, 0) 20 P Neville (Everton)......10 (1, 1) 19 Ashley Cole (Arse)......10 (3, 0) 19 Matteo (Blackburn).....13 (2, 0) 19 Bouba Diop (Fulham)..16 (1, 0) 19 Andy Cole (Man City)..12 (2, 0) 18 (1 point per foul; 3 Yellow, 6 Red)
  16. As long as the lads are motivated, they'll be okay. It's when they come out looking like a wet weekend we can't be bothered - that's when I worry... Hopefully there will be goals with the winning one from us!
  17. As Souey once said, he always expected Campo to wear a red nose and one of those flower buttonholes that squirt water at you. He can be pretty nasty though.
  18. It's the Admiral's first crack at Bolton, isn't it? He'll enjoy them! Just looking at last year's reports, and remembering, my they were lucky at Ewood - never mind Spit's play-acting, at least two of them should have got sent off! Should be a cracking game. Graham Poll's the referee. Bellamy probably won't be quite ready but 'twould be nice to see Kuqi get his first league goal, Dickov sneak in another and perhaps a classy one from MGP. I'll settle for any two of the three against one from Bolton!
  19. Østenstad! Oh, the memories!
  20. Absolutely agree with Paul. I'm getting really fed up with all the gaps, you go to a match, get fired up and then.......................... The fixtures are all over the place this season, two home games, two away games, two weeks between here, a month or more between two home games. People will find other things to do, get out of the habit. Although I'm unable to go to Bolton at the moment (I live in hope), I can't wait for the match, our boys back together again and another set of internationals out of the way thank goodness.
  21. I was just about to make the same suggestion as the Capt. Think it deserves an airing in the newspapers as well. About time someone spelt it out. Well done, Alan.
  22. Especially as he didn't really want to sign for their club
  23. I watched a newscast about New Orleans last night and was disgusted. A woman, staying in a hotel there I believe at some sort of convention, organised with others medical help for those injured nearby, raiding a nearby chemist for supplies. The sort of thing I would expect able-bodied and un-injured people to do in the circumstances. However, next up was an interview with several able-bodied young men moaning about the situation and why wasn't x, y and z being organised for them. For heaven's sake, these guys should be out there offering help to others (plenty around needing it) and seeing what they could do not standing round whinging.
  24. He isn't old enough to drive let alone drink. Sorry Wez, but why do you do it? It's yourself you end up getting in trouble and it really isn't worth it.
  25. Jansen on for Flitcroft..................
