  1. I can picture the scene. Bellamy running around the Barcodes training ground with that angelic 'who, me?' look on his face and Graeme and Deano etc in a huddle in the corner wondering how they are going to cope with the situation
  2. Absolutely
  3. Was writing as I would have said it, kind of emphasising that she did it first...............
  4. Probably got the idea from Brad, whose delightful little daughter has "Daddy 1" on her shirt. Robbie didn't live in Cheshire when he played for Birmingham but I understand he has also since moved from the house that was filmed.
  5. Couldn't you just buy the shirt and get the number on later? Or is that too simple?
  6. I have a vision of the Riverside. Redeveloped, with a standing area; a disabled area with an adjacent room/suite which can be used during matchdays and as a meeting/day centre for them otherwise; possibly a children's/family area with rooms and a meeting place for BRISA.
  7. I'm trying very hard to feel inspired by this news............
  8. No. It won't do. Tugs is no 8. Robbie who? And where's Vratty? As for Matteo, Douglas and Flitty, let's not bother
  9. Well I'd just like to say that Sunday was a lesson in how football should be played. No hoofing the ball from one end of the pitch to the other, no cards (if it had been blokes refereeing there would have been about 10 ); a good fast game and if anyone went down you knew it wasn't because they were diving. Well done, girls. As for you, eddiecolne I don't think so as your last line said I enjoy a joke as much as anyone, an original joke that is. I wait with baited breath. Truth is, ladies teams' were in effect banned in England all those years ago because they were attracting more crowds than many of the men's teams and the blokes couldn't hack it.
  10. You obviously didn't read the link on Colin's post, eddiecolne. I'll give you another chance: link here That's always supposing you are able to read.............
  11. Could someone change that sign to say 'I am stupid?
  12. No problem AESF . In fact I agree with much of what you say. However, apart from one or two of the Swedish/Danish players , women are generally physically not as strong as men - and who would have it any other way? So the game isn't going to be the same. I think Alan75's comment puts it into perspective: Having said that there was a lot that reminded me of our beloved Rovers squad and one young lady must certainly have been watching our Brett! In any case, we're used to going home from Ewood after a loss so that bit wasn't so different. Enjoyed the atmosphere, great to see so many at Ewood having fun - must get Lee to sit behind the aforementioned commentators and spill his tea over them! At least there was some good news yesterday! Miss Roversmum ran for Chorley in the Lancashire Schools Sports (100metres) and came a close second! As she has been fighting injury for 18 months now and had little training it was a brilliant result and she now goes to represent Lancashire in the England Sports! (apologies for being off topic )
  13. Should be a great atmosphere! I've got my tickets! Another self-confessed chauvinist eats his words: link here - and has the grace to apologise Go, girls!
  14. Just found this on the UEFA website. They got the directions wrong According to them, it's sir Jack Walker, they also call Blackburn a city and get this:
  15. Abbey... Interesting little video, showing our beloved Ewood: click video link.
  16. Seen outside The Sea View hostelry on the A6, pasted over the "AC Milan vs Liverpool" sign: "AC Milan Supporters' Club Whittle-Le-Woods Branch"
  17. Preston 'cos we'd have no trouble beating them
  18. Thanks guys. Just goes to show, though, how unpredictable things can turn out to be, and I guess is one of the reasons we love football! Any chance of a weekly 'guess the score' competition of some kind for next season?
  19. I'm in trouble for saying I don't think Rovers will win...... So - Revised Prediction: Rovers 6 Spuds 0.
  20. We could relocate it to Thurso.........
  21. There is no place for bad feeling towards anyone on this night. This is for our loyal and loved servant for many years, Tony Parkes, and it is up to us to turn up and give everyone involved our support, and make it a night to remember!
  22. I'm not happy about this. Not acceptable.
  23. I think you should all dress up as Hughsey.... Pity it's not Birmingham, you could all be Robbie Savage
