  1. I was fortunate to be able to go and queue for our tickets on Tuesday. However, all you who are moaning, I hope you have emailed/written to JW/the ticket office with your complaints and suggestions if you feel so strongly. If they don't get feedback they won't be aware that improvements are necessary. For my part, I would suggest increased opening hours at least for a couple of days to help those who don't live nearby or who are working during the ticket office opening hours.
  2. It seems to me that Chelsea are bad winners and bad losers. All the unnecessary moaning when they came to Ewood and now we find that they are pleading not guilty of failing to control their players during the fracas at Ewood concerning Dickov and the goalkeeper - when Rovers are pleading guilty! link
  3. 1. Gary Lineker - I want to beat Burnley, STUFF Leicester, win the FA Cup and bash him with it shouting "Blackburn Rovers is better than you". 2. The Opticians who test the eyes of the Premier League Referees. 3. Bolton Wanderers for boring the pants off me every time I watch them and how the (rude word I am not allowed to use) are they doing so well? I don't like the club, don't like the stadium, don't like the manager and don't like the players. 4. All Rovers "players" who have let down the club by not giving the 100 per cent effort we deserve (Dwight Yorke and others you know who you are....); and those who "are very happy at Rovers" the week before they (rude word) off to another club. 5. a) RWF b)Steve Bruce/BCFC c)Dean Saunders (well, it's all his fault). That feels better
  4. Thank you, Paul, for some common sense. Most of those who sing the Hate Burnley songs are just indulging in banter. 99 per cent of us are decent fans who just enjoy football. Just because a few (of either side) are prone to stupidity doesn't mean we all need to assume that everyone is that way inclined. Football is a good way of bringing communities together - people of all ages - and it's a pity if anyone is discouraged from attending or becomign involved by the actions of a few. Those who carry out acts of violence and disruption are simply tarnishing the reputation of their own clubs - what's the point? I'm looking forward to next Tuesday and hope Rovers win, but if we do I'm not going to strut about on Burnley boards beating my chest (ouch at the thought ) and berating their fans. If we don't win the less said the better and on to the next Premier League match !
  5. Just off down to Ewood to get our family tickets. Hope there isn't too much of a queue and it's snowing again.........
  6. They've been doing that for a while now. Sparky likes to include the whole squad on match days and those who haven't played get a training session after the match. It keeps their fitness up and gets them involved.
  7. Steve Dunn. Wasn't he the ref at our last encounter?
  8. It would be good to do something. Suggestions? The shop had some blue and white ones with crest in the middle recently Don't go, LS. You're almost one of us now
  9. Thing is, though, BONS, there were only so many tickets. Some people were bound to be disappointed. What do you expect Rovers to do? If you had got tickets you wouldn't have complained would you? Very disappointing if you lost out due to a fault in the phone system though. Might be worth ringing the ticket office to point out what had happened so they can fix it.
  10. Aw, there there....... *thwack* "Mum gives Bazza a thick ear for being such a baby" Sometimes I just run out of patience
  11. We were in the queue at just after 6am this morning and got our tickets. Wasn't expecting everyone there by the time we left to get one though. Very well managed and orderly. I don't go with this 'I don't want to sit on my own' stuff. How can you be on your own with 3,800 other Rovers fans? It is nice to sit with your friends but if it's a choice between that and going there's no contest for me! Some lads in front of us in school uniform - RM "Shouldn't you be at school? Will you get into trouble for being late?" Lads: "Nah, that's our teacher in the queue some way behind us - he'll be even later"
  12. We had to turn it off because it was so dire. My sister works for a branch of DP9's bank. No wonder she's so (I must not use that word) miserable there if they are all like him.
  13. Fair comment Scotty. Thompson certainly wasn't at his footballing best (headless chicken best perhaps....). You couldn't really mention him in the same breath as Tugay after that. Such a shame Tugs is coming to the end of his time
  14. He was a very unhappy man for most of the match. His side-kicks were cosying up to the fourth official too. Our players went over to them to shake hands after the match and they didn't want to know. Still, they got soundly booed on their way out, Duffer in the middle of them. Sooner or later someone will give them a seeing to. I just wish it had been us. I think they've just topped Man Ure in my hate list............. By the way, what think you of their kit? Looked like something out of the rag bag!
  15. Well, I'll tell you this. We may not have won last night which was a travesty but we certainly didn't miss Barry (who would probably have picked up a card and probably got involved in the handbags and sent off). Hail Mokoena - a class above Bazza and has already proved himself to be a committed Rover. Barry Ferguson? Just remind me who...........
  16. I'm not looking forward to this match at all. I'm already very depressed by Barry leaving and his disrespect for our club, and the state of our unreinforced strike 'force'. Chelsea will probably shaft us (again). They must be laughing their socks off at the thought of this match. And to make things worse it's going to be televised. A big fat 0 for Rovers; Chelsea 4. Where's the gin?
  17. Very disappointed. Disappointed in Barry. Disappointed that we haven't signed a new striker - yet Disappointed.
  18. Waggy, believe me, I feel as angry as you do. I am sick and gutted about the whole thing. I really don't want to see Barry in the team. But Rovers is my main concern, not one misguided and manipulated player. And boo-ing would unsettle the whole team. Remember, he is one of them (the squad) not one of us (the fans).
  19. Quite frankly, Ferguson is the least of my worries at the moment. With Paul Dickov said to be suffering a groin injury, I'm more concerned about our strike force and where goals are coming from. The issue about Bazza has been done to death, all we can do is wait and see what happens now. Whilst I am not happy about the way Rangers and Bazza and the agent have (seemingly) behaved I am proud of the way Rovers have handled things with their usual dignity. As fo Barry playing - well, do you want Rovers to win matches or not? Simple as. If you boo Barry is is going to unsettle the whole team I would have thought. Not really very clever. Just get behind allthe lads who are out there playing in our shirt. Leave the team selection to Mark Hughes. If he wants to play Barry so be it, we've paid for him, he is our player still whatever else has happened.
  20. There was no contact! You obviously haven't seen the video replays! I'd have no problem if the penalty was genuine but no way!
  21. How about taking action with the referee for not doing his job properly? Why is it Rovers always lose out in these instances?
  22. Mokoena was improved from the Cardiff game but I'd rather have Nissa there; and there is always a chance Nissa will score from a corner. We are absolutely no threat from them at the moment. Did anyone notice a Bolton player knee Todd during the preparations for one of the corners? Then complained to the Referee about something. Well tonight I'm truly thankful. Truly thankful I'm not a Bolton supporter. They cheat, the way they play is boring, I don't like the look of them or their manager (probably not their supporters either although the one or two I know are not bad, if misguided), I couldn't care less if they win the league - no wonder attendances are falling with teams like that playing! At least with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea you usually get some football that is good to watch! What is is with these referees? They are totally incompetent. If most people did their job as badly the unemployment figures would rocket. In all honesty, MGP was the only one who seemed up for it. although Lucas did better than of late. Bothroyd - lazier than Yorke tonight but enjoys the view of the pretty yellow ball sailing past him. Gallagher - love this lad but he still needs experience. Matteo - oh dear. Please, someone, draw him a map. All that dithering when he takes a free kick or a throw. It must have been bad. I almost wanted Flitcroft to come on. I'm going to bed. Goodnight all.
  23. Sorry, but while to the people of Blackburn, this is a local derby, and it excites you all. I cannot, via your situation mentioned, see the likes of Del Piero, Zidane, Beckham, Figo, or Ronaldinho "relishing" Blackburn vs Bolton Wanderers. And the last time I checked, those guys were footballers. Sorry, but I found that comment, while understandable from a Rovers point of view, somewhat baffling. In saying 'anyone' I am talking about the Rovers and Bolton players of course, since that was the match we were discussing, and Ferguson's part (if he plays) in it! Surely Rangers and Celtic players feel the same about their derby matches? And don't dismiss any of the players you mention ever playing for Blackburn Rovers. Stranger things have happened
  24. Anyone calling themselves a footballer surely just has to relish this game whatever their personal circumstances might be.
  25. It has to be Brad of course, Abbey. You forgot to mention the Davies and Diouff own goals tho'
