  1. We're not defending well enough. A bit more on the burn out theory mister D?
  2. Teams aren't outrunning us, but we look physically tired? That doesn't make sense. There are reasons why we haven't beaten Liverpool and Brum and tiredness wasn't one of them. We had more of the ball than Liverpool and more of the ball than Brum in the second half. If we had been knackered, we'd have been chasing the ball, not keeping it. Once more - evidence of burn out? It's the same old story, if we lose there's always the "not trying" excuses thrown around. Same with "burn out".
  3. No, I don't watch games. Played well against Liverpool and well second half against Brum. I'll ask again - where's the evidence that teams are out running us?
  4. What a load of cobblers. Burn out! We lost the last two games against Liverpool - where we were done by an offside goal, and Brum - where rovers dictated the second half. Where's the evidence of physical burn out? As for Pedersen going through a bad patch - this is the same Pedersen we've seen week in, week out minus the goals. Some people were blinded by the goals he scored. If he didn't score goals, he wouldn't hold down a place in any prem team.
  5. That would be fun. Gold's such a little squirt as well. Considering he's from a big club.
  6. Wouldn't dare do that Don. As a guest of a company called Black and White who sponsor Brum. Superb it was as well. Seats just behind David Gold and David Sullivan.
  7. Would you want me to see it another way Jim?
  8. Don't know the answer to that Waggy.
  9. OK, apologies Waggy. He was ill last night though.
  10. Waggy, don't you believe me when I say he's ill? Or would you rather make stories up?
  11. Calm down folks. The usual responses on here - if we win we're good, if we lose we're rubbish. For starters, Pongo was ill. Secondly the game - first half rovers weren't great, but nor were Brum, although they did create the best chance of the half and should have gone in at half time ahead. Second half rovers were the team playing the better football and looking more like scoring. Brum got lucky twice. It happens sometimes you know. A wildly miscued shot dropped to Julian Gray and he miscued his shot/cross to Butt who just managed to stab the ball home. The second goal was just as scrappy. Anyone listen to the radio live phone in afterwards? The brum fans knew they were lucky to win it, they thought rovers dominated the second half as well. They all thought Kuqi should have started as well, because they couldn't manage him when he came on. At 1-1 there was always another goal in the game and even though it looked like rovers would get it, it actually went to Brum. It happens sometimes.
  12. Whadya mean, there's no trophies! Might not make the match.
  13. I'm lucky enough to be in a private box for the game, with a ground tour, and free meal and drinks thrown in. Now - any questions for the ground tour guide? --- Where did Robbie sit, Where's the trophy cabinet etc, etc?
  14. As above.
  15. West ham losing, newcastle losing and pompey winning.
  16. If that was right - that as long as you don't touch the ball, you can't be offside, then every team can have three forwards stood offside and chasing the ball. The flag wont go up. The FA should come out and say that referee was wrong. Will they? Will they 'ell. When have the FA been seen to stand up for what's right? All their concerned with is denying the facts.
  17. I wish someone would prove that to me. I've never believed that's the case and never will.
  18. Ah - we're not going to get into the champions league, but if were to have done - bloody hell, GO FOR IT. We might never get another chance. What's all this talk about build for it? We're not Man Utd or Liverpool, we're Blackburn Rovers.
  19. I've been trying to tell people that Here It's obvious that clubs need Tv, but that's not what this thread is about.
  20. "Dan Johnson, a spokesman for the Premier League, said: "There are no rights for the general bar trade to show football games at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. It's illegal and if people transgress we will take them to court." He said the two court rulings in Bolton were "rogue decisions" and just because a licensees had paid a foreign broadcaster for a signal it did not give them the copyright to the games. "It's a breach of copyright. If those rights have been sold abroad then they are only for use in that region." Mr Johnson added that there was lots of anecdotal evidence which showed attendeces at football games fell when the matches were being shown in pubs and that it also led to a fall in the number of people playing football on a Saturday. "
  21. bskyb own the copyright.
  22. You're wrong EIT. There most certainly is a crime being perurtrated here. A couple of people involved with BRISA have been making enquiries to the relevant people who deal with the issues of illegal tv broadcasting. I'm not going to divulge my sources on here, but a couple of quotes: "We have spoken this week, he confirmed that to show the broadcasts in pubs was a definite copyright infringement and could result in prosecution" "He said they were isolated cases [the cases in Bolton being discussed here] which were let off on a technicality and had no bearing on the overall issue that showing these games in local pubs broke copyright as they could only be viewed live in the middle east not the UK." "He said the cases in Bolton were prosecution failed were isolated cases and they had previous prosecutions in that area and would do so in the future. He likened the issue to "because your neighbour gets off a motoring offence on a technicality it didn't mean that you could expect the same if you broke the law."
  23. The smilies were for the "can't justify the £30 ticket fee".
