A lot of which he has manufactured himself by how he has integrated younger payers into the squad. I suppose both managers played the hands they were dealt at the time and did so pretty well so far. I think Mowbray edges it based off the fact Bowyer had Rhodes and Gestede. His budget was tight I will admit, but Mowbray found the likes of Dack and Rothwell. Both managers are well up the list in the Venkys era. We are at the stage now where a win or two can put us right up there, it's psychological. Hopefully we break through

I just hope he doesn't get injured anytime soon and gets enough time to get back to his best. I'm fairly sure he is going to come back operating mainly as a striker, through the middle. Used as a sub for Armstrong. I think he will want to play in the midfield 3 and will probably get a chance as well, but that will be the real test

Wow. That's deadly. (massively trying not to get my hopes up about this season)

I suppose the game was slower then, with less phenomenal athletes. Possibly better ballers back then too. A lot of full backs now are just wing machines basically. That's why I like Douglas, he reminds me of an old school throw back to what a full back used to be, plays with his brain and technique, not his engine. Ah players are mentally fragile these days too. They brick it playing out of position. It's real obvious to see, particularly in defence I think Or maybe I'm just talking through my arse lol

So sad for Wharton. Awful for the lad Says on the LT Doncaster is the target for Dack

One of the best defenders the world has even seen and one of the best full backs of the Premier League era. Actually scratch that, 2 of the best defenders the world has ever seen lol. I loved Maldini. One of my favourites. He played centre half no bother as well.

If Williams isn't fit, I suppose Buckley. I absolutely hate people being played on the opposite side to whatever foot they are in defence. There are no benefits whatsoever, unlike when done further up the field.

It's a combination of the mundane midfield play and missing of chances that gets me. He has missed some sitters in important games. His contribution with regards goals and assists is putrid, granted not his main job, but as a center midfielder I think unless you are Makalele, you need to contribute more. Trybull looks like an vast upgrade there and I don't think he has fully gotten going yet. -

So far they have looked good together,so I would have no problem if they were first choice partnership. Although I think Ayala and Williams could compliment each other well. Keeping them 2 fit is another issue -
Has Johnson ever played centre half? I don't think he needs to be captain to lead the team. In fact his shit housing probably doesn't fit well with being captain. Leave him too it. Although he is probably the stand out candidate with Lenihan out. Ayala maybe? Or left field suggestion, give it to Nyambe.

First game back in ages, anyone would struggle coming into these helter skelter championship games after an injury -

Hate to say it, but maybe it's a good thing. We don't need him. Trybull is much better and we have enough midfielders in general. I feel bad for the horrific injuries he has suffered, but I have lost all faith in him as a player. -
I hope Carter is decent, because we will be doing well to keep 2 out of Ayala, Lenihan and Williams available. Wharton was the robust one out of the 4.

That could be 12 months, feck. A mate did it before, a heavy gate swung on it, nasty. He was a long distance runner. Psychologically he took years to get over it, couldn't have anything touching it. Hopefully this is as short term as possible

Exactly. We were fair better before the red. Now all of a sudden Mowbray is out of his depth, our players are crap, another death spiral is starting and we will probably get relegated -

I know he isn't a right back, but he's a professional and that was poor by Buckley. He moved away from Canos when he cut inside -
