  1. Well injuries and Covid issues obviously haven't helped.
  2. No,I haven't really. I ended my subscription. Have too much to be watching and playing. I think AEW in particular has struggled with no crowds. Good to see some of those guys and gals getting TV time though. I follow on social media. I see the NWA are starting back with a shown
  3. Not necessarily, because he has had the opportunity to build his confidence up with a solid run of games in a crowd free environment.
  4. Where Dack fits in 4-3-3 is either in Holtbys role, where he will be second choice or in Armstrong where he will be 2nd or 3rd choice even to start with. Maybe he can compete with Rothwell either. He's good baller so he could maintain some level of ball retention in midfield, but where he would excel would be arriving in the box on the end of stuff. A great player to have coming back in. Will give the opposition a huge problem.
  5. How bad is the injury Douglas picked up?
  6. When things aren't going well having a crowd leads to nerves. Whether they are critical or not. It's straight forward really. Not having a crowd helped Brereton, but obviously that can't be proven, unless he says it. Now that he is up and running I would expect that to continue, but not having a crowd came just at the right time for him.
  7. A lot is expected of them alright. Douglas is a classy operator though, not the quickest or strongest, but has it upstairs. Obviously Nyambe is a far better athlete, but he's certainly never going to be like Douglas on the ball, unfortunately. He would be at Everton or Spurs If he was though I suppose!
  8. Except he will have better offers than that. He would laugh at a pay as you play offer and he would be correct for doing so. Who do we think we are? Lol
  9. Davenport and Brereton young too
  10. What a player and what a goal he scored in '86 against England, the goal where he ran from his own half was pretty good too
  11. Douglas and Nyambe hopefully. I think JRC is a bit better at doing that than Nyambe, so that's why he occasionally gets the nod. If Nyambe was good in the final 3rd, he would be playing in the PL, easily. Unfortunately he isn't and it's becoming less and less likely he ever will be, unfortunately. Has he assisted many goals even?
  12. He got a few quid, but the main thing was no sales of major assets. He has improved the squad dramatically. Like night and day. Brought a lot of young players through as well.
  13. Wharton and Lenihan are great. Just 2 no nonsense , no frills DEFENDERS.
  14. Mowbray, who signed him and was instrumental in his making the decision in coming here, according to Holtby himself. Do any of the armchair pundits who are wondering why he didn't play centrally last season consider that he wasn't match sharp or fit enough to do so then? He had no pre-season and had ongoing injury issues. Isn't it great though that now our dilemmas are Trybull or Johnson, Gallagher or Elliott, as opposed to Guthrie or Lowe, or Liam Feeney or Simeon Jackson. Mowbray has built quite the squad.
  15. His tendency to fall over easily would suit the South Americans. I just hope he doesn't become notorious for it,
  16. There is no way we would accept 7 million for him in January after the build up to eventually getting him in the team and performing. Strange suggestion. If he surpasses 20 with combined assists and goals this season, we will actually have a real asset on our hands. It's plausible.
  17. How many goals will he get this season? Double figures would be great and he seems on for that
  18. Agreed. The main thing is a win Saturday, has to be the same 11 barring injuries. Games thick and fast, Johnson and Ayala will be needed before too long Dolan the perfect impact sub
  19. Feel we will be on top early doors and it will just depend on if we take our chances early.
  20. From the "scout" who said Dack was crap. I think we need a second opinion on this lad, just to be safe ?
  21. If he keeps this up, there will be PL bids for him, no doubt. That's probably what his plan moving to England was. Cracker of a signing. Credit to the European scouting network. He looks a 6, 7 million pound keeper to me
  22. Surely the commentators on this would be classified as "happy clappers" if they posted here? I like listening to them but they really can't criticize anything about the team, can they? It can get a bit much when the team aren't playing well and they try and find positives, as some are ludicrous. If a player misses a chance, it's usually "he did everything right" ,even if he clearly didn't ? Also one of the guys LOVES reading out the teams. He must do it 3-4 times per team some games ?
  23. Great performance. When Holtby plays well, the team plays well. Keeps everything ticking ,but not afraid to put a foot in too. Davenport's best game for us when he came on too. Love to see it. All set up nicely now with 2 home games against teams we would expect to beat. What could possibly go wrong?
  24. Of course his performance can be questioned ? I highly doubt he will be moved from centre forward anyway, hopefully get gets back amongst the goals
