Nobbers v Rovers, Tues 24 Nov 7.45pm

I didn't say drop him. He would still be in the team. He has scored plenty from there. I just think Gallagher centrally might give us an option that would suit this game. Elliott is so hot and cold, hopefully it's one of his good evenings. Although it's usually just a few moments per game. Plus I thought Armstrong was shocking on Saturday. I hope he isn't turning into a Johnny big balls, but im a bit concerned. He moves when it suits him. All fine when he is scoring, but if he goes 3 or 4 games without a goal , combined with an attitude, we could have a problem. -

I would drop Elliott, put Armstrong right and Gallagher through the middle. -

Saturday is a bad example. I usually don't comment on refs, it is what it is and typically balances out when the ref is just bad at his job, but Saturdays ref was one sided from the start in Luton's favour and it got worse as the game went out, possibly due to the rovers players venting their frustration. I really wouldn't want to see that ref in the middle for one of our games anytime soon. -

This feels like a big game. A win and away we go, lose and we are looking down the barrel of a really poor start. It will probably finish 2-2.We will either bottle it and concede late on, or score to equalize late on. One cert anyway is that it won't be straighforward. Johnson will be a loss. Need Holtby and Rothwell on song. -

What a season for us so far. In a way, it's one of the most frustrating ever. So much promise, but I don't know if we will deliver on it. Too much chopping and changing. Mostly enforced, unfortunately. Our best 11 could beat anyone, but when will we actually see it? If at all. Our front 3 are frustrating me a lot. I know he is top scorer, but Armstrong can be so annoying, he was awful on Saturday. More interested in complaining to the ref. He had some decent chances. Brereton has gotten going, but falls over too easy for my liking. Elliot , hot and cold, no doubt he will be a big player. It's just not balanced enough for me, with the 3 of them inconsistent. Good that Lenihan seems to be back playing ok. I think Ayala is our best defender though. Best player so far? Kaminski. He looks like the best keeper since Robinson, by some distance. Have a niggling feeling it will be a manager post Mowbray who benefits from some of the good work and groundwork Mowbray has laid. Not sure he himself is ruthless enough. -
Ya, the injuries are a big concern.
-
So Swansea, a team who got in the play-offs, want Williams? Probably another that isn't as bad as people on here make out. I would keep him as a CB option. I wonder how much they bid

Maybe Vale and Butterworth will be better to have than Graham and Samuel, if that's the case will you come on and say you were wrong? It seems to be you moaned about not signing defenders/goalkeepers, not having any money etc, but now that seems to be moving ahead, you have decided to move towards a different gripe. One that most people don't seem to understand. Do you still think we need to replace Smallwood? LOL Samuel slightly less on the LOL scale but still there. Butterworth and Vale probably cost less to have around that Graham. Graham who was clearly finished last season. Obviously it would be great to go out and spend millions on a striker, but if it's a case of frees or loans, ya, I'm comfortable giving those 2 young lads a chance. We have no shortage of midfielders or forwards.
-
That's irrelevant, if funny. He was injured most of last season and played Saturday. So there is zero evidence he is leaving?
-
I haven't read or seen anything about Williams leaving, why are people saying that?
-
He got 4 goals last season, shouldn't be that difficult to replace. Do you still think we need to replace Smallwood and Samuel as well? Lol As for options if we need experience, well hopefully Downing signs, but ya, you're against re-signing him , aren't you?

New Games/General Gaming

Got back into Persona 5 and cleared the bank. I like the gameplay loop. Very unforgiving at times, but think I'm on top of it now. Nearly broke me last night though. I opened the elevator with access to the boss room, but instead of accepting Morgana's suggestion to return to near the save room, I said no explore more, thinking all the enemies would still be dead. They weren't and I had no HP or SP items, along with no SP. Took me ages to even open the lift, so to have to go back through the area again in reverse was pretty tense. That boss was something else though. Took me 3 goes to beat him. Looking forward to seeing what's next. 36 hours in now. -
Championship Season 2020 - 2021

Is there any way a move like this can end up working out well for them? Can't see it. -
Walton can be decent, but he gets bad attacks of his nerves and looks liable to drop anything at times. That was whilst here, would be even more pressure at PL level. He will have it all to do to stay at that level I feel.

Not sure if people saw Roy Keane name his toughest opponents. He had Viera and Zidane , then in no particular order Gary Speed, Rob Lee and David Batty. https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-legends-roy-keane-names-the-five-toughest-opponents-in-his-career-20200806

Ya,good point. Maybe Maybe he has offers of two year deals elsewhere and what we have offered is considerably less than last season. I would keep anyway,if possible.
-
I don't know about Graham. He wasn't used much last year and looked a bit past it when he did. I'm sure if there was more money he would offer Downing a deal alright. I wouldn't be against having him around ,as a bench option. Good pro to have around for the younger players. Not many in the squad who have won stuff.
-
Really? Whatever about Downing and possibly Graham, are you actually serious about the other 2, like really? Think about it...
-
Ya or he was offered a low one, which he turned down. If we have money left over, we will offer him more.
-
4 is so many without him though! Going off videos he posted I was assuming he would make game 1. Ah what can ya do
-
I'm surprised Dack is still 6 weeks away. I thought he would be fit for the start of the season ? I get not rushing players, but it would be great to have him in asap Kipre and Cunningham next please. Both on perms would be just swell!

I love lamp

Was in confirmed it was a member of their squad though? I read a member of staff.

Plus it could have been anyone involved with the Liverpool team as far as I know. So like a driver who had minimum contact with the players. As you say, if Kane didn't get special treatment, there is obviously more to it than we wd know with regards Liverpool.
