  1. What kind of an injury was that? Such an odd one
  2. Feck sake kick and chase Armstrong, back yourself!
  3. Shocking by Douglas, you wouldn't see Bell doing that
  4. Then you did, so it was worth saying
  5. I like the camera angle on Ifollow. Forward switching roles, pitchforks down all
  6. Calm down all, players are just swapping positions. Looks pretty fluid so far.
  7. Maybe Davenport. Buckley is way off the pace. I really don't get how anyone would think he is a viable starter at the moment. Far too weak and gives the ball away far too often. Makes the odd decent pass, but far from enough imo. Even with Davenport though, Trybull and Johnson have been there and done that and for an away game against an attacking side, I can see what they offer.
  8. What could he do with Holtby clearly struggling to maintain his levels? He put a pic on Instagram the other day of him having 4 back to back cryo sessions to help him recover.
  9. Big call bringing Wharton back. A few on here completely ruled the possibility of that out, I think the line was "that's Wharton gone now". Anyone prepared to put their hands up and say they got that call wrong? Mowbray favouring youth again. Need a big game from Johnson. I'm not too bothered about Holtby, he looks to be struggling physically with so many games. I imagine Trybull and Johnson will hold the middle, giving Rothwell licence to run at them. 2-2
  10. Did you see they actually found a version of that gag in some ancient text a few weeks ago?
  11. Telling Tony he can play in a week or two, classic Travis
  12. Going off Mowbrays time here there is absolutely nothing to suggest that we will sell any key players in January. It would make absolutely no sense. Indeed every player does have his price, but I certainly can't see Armstrong leaving in January.
  13. He's certainly a better finisher than Long, but Long is brilliant in the air and is stronger. With his pace it makes him a great out for a long ball. That's pretty much why he has remained in the PL. I wouldn't worry too much about his contract. I would imagine it will get sorted at the end of this season, depending on where we are. If he remains top scorer, you would imagine he will leave next summer if we haven't been promoted.
  14. True and it's funny because I bet if we had Graham up front they would be hesitant to do so. They know now long high balls to our forwards will be mopped up by the centre halves, so we always have to try and play through the midfield. I wish Gallagher was better in the air for his size. We can't expect Armstrong, Dolan or Elliott to win aeriel duels with centre halves.
  15. I always find it ,interesting, that every game without fail people on the match thread suggest formations and line ups that we will never play. Sorry lads, we aren't changing to 4-4-2. We alternate between 4-3-3 , 4-2-3-1 and occasionally 4-2-4. That's more than enough for Tony to tinker with.
  16. Rothwell is better midfield. I would go him Holtby and Trybull in there, with Elliott , Armstrong and Gallagher, although if I thought Dolan would be on his A game, then him.
  17. I would be interested to see a breakdown of results for those home teams who had fans in last weekend. Maybe it's just cos the Luton win stood out to me,but I think it will give teams a boost. Makes us scoring first very important
  18. Excellent news. Look at all of us rejoicing that Breo will be back soon. Love to see it!
  19. Rothwell will hardly replace Brereton. It will be Gallagher or Dolan.
  20. We need an early goal or they could could run away from us with the buzz and support from the crowd feeding into it. We absolutely have to hit them with intensity. Having said that, I would prefer to lose ,than pick up injuries to key players. So controlled intensity and using our heads. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Prediction 2-2
  21. No,but if you can't walk on it at all it's pretty much nailed on that its very bad
  22. Very similar to a league 1 performance. To be honest I can't recall us winning many games at championship level where we payed badly, let alone 2 back to back. It's actually sweet!
  23. Ayala was rusty, as you would expect. That game will stand to him. Great to finally have competition there with PROPER defenders. Was it 2 Christmases ago we played some games with Mulgrew and Rodwell there? Both of whom had given up headering the ball for Christmas.
  24. Of course, but I think some are just suggesting caution and not an over reaction if we don't win all(or any) of those games. Lets not jump straight to "death spirals", talk of relegation and other favoured tropes on here.
