  1. Pocettino or Allegri? That escalated quickly
  2. Oh I totally agree. He trusts them to self motovate, which is risky with players on thousands a week. Whereas Keane would basically try and control that, along with other things I'm not doubting this team are motivated though, we have some good pros, but it comes down to deep down how badly do you want it? Do you want it more than 6 other teams. There is some issue anyway.
  3. You know what actually, I bet if you had world class defenders it could work, cos they would literally just win what comes into their zone, regardless of how may opponents are there. I'm talking like Cannavaro and Nesta like
  4. I have no idea Does anyone know the answer to that? Needlessly complicated
  5. Looks pretty conclusive there. Jesus stick to your man!!
  6. More related to their fees I would say
  7. They are all at it though. Also,to be fair, anyone who follows him on Instagram will probably see the goal in some capacity anyway. He has shared it almost 10 times on his story since yesterday. I just wonder are players happier them scoring , or us winning He is young though, so I'm not singling him out, more that it's the most recent example. Anyway, I think they should be banned from the dressing room, at a minimum.
  8. It's not that simple. Lenihan won 9 aerial duels against Millwall and was generally really good. It's funny who defenders mistakes are very clearly labeled mistakes, but our forwards missing chances or making the wrong passes rarely are, unless it's extreme like Armstrong's ridiculous attempts to take shots on from everywhere. In these tight games, we need to take chances. We can't rely on the defence to keep everything out and then just look to blame them when we lose. We are an attacking side,so the defence don't always get the cover they need. People shouldn't forget that.
  9. Ya why are people saying Lenihan was marking him? It is criminal giving Pukki that much space, whoever was meant to be marking him. That's why I asked was in zonal ,cos I can't make out who it was meant to be.
  10. Well it's based off watching the games. Maybe it's biased, but I would be interested to see the stats. Anyway, it's irrelevant as I'm not using it as an excuse, just making an observation.
  11. Calling Pukkis movement to get that shot off "wandering into space" does a huge disservice to what he did. It was all super quick. That's why he scores so many at this level. Ya, Lenihan has had a few stinkers this season and he has put his hands up. We had bodies back though, it was a deflected shot really, through many bodies. He won 9 aerial duels against Millwall. His pace is what it is, I wouldn't say he is slow, it's just the other player was quicker on this occasion. To say he was "outpaced too easily" suggests he could have done something about it. In certain situations it just literally comes down to raw pace. What I have noticed with Ayala is his positioning is a lot cuter than Lenihan and Williams. I suppose neither of them have always played centre half. If they don't learn it quick, they wil struggle to stay at this level, because now they rely on physical attributes a lot. I think Williams is actually learning faster to be honest. I wonder has the captaincy affected Lenihan? Or maybe to many wake ups at night time!
  12. Oh I know, ultimately it's pretty much the same thing when it comes to deliverables, but it is progression and would probably make us a more attractive proposition for out of work managers. Even if they do "bail out" we will get good money for them. Going off recent history, they are willing to spend a bit, even whilst bringing in practically nothing in fees.
  13. Ah we would probably agree with many things in person. It's weird online at times. On the first point, ya well if he can't get this team into the play offs, then that's it for me. There are no mitigating factors. I just don't like when people insult him and question his integrity. I think overall he has been very, very good for the football club following some dark days. Actually feel like a normal club now. He does some bizzare stuff ,but I think the ground work he has put in,if not for him, will help whoever replaces him. Both with players at the club and fees received for players. People should not minimise that, even when it is frustrating to always seem to get so close, but yet so far. Ya, I hear ya,but it's such a gamble replacing a manager. Even guys ya think might do well, let alone what Venkys might pull out of the bag. Personally and I know this probably sounds mental, I would get Roy Keane in til the end of the year. I think that would suit both parties. I just feel the payers we have would respond to him and we would have that nasty/ruthless side that I think let's Mowbray down.
  14. I hate that zonal shite. I have no idea how it's beneficial. With the man marking though, as you allude to, you've got to actually do it like your life depends on it. I wonder do players ,let alone forwards find it beneath them. The art of defending in general is dying. Not being helped by the authorities to be fair.
  15. Not exactly Tony Mowbray related, but does anyone else think our players are on social media sharing shite too much after defeats? So many of them do it. It annoys me to be honest. Young Elliott is flat out on it. Not singling him out ,but as an example, if we lose, should he share his goal numerous times on his Instagram story? I know he's an extreme example, but would Roy Keane share a goal he scored if the team lost? Like sometimes they literally share from the changing room after the game. I dunno, I just think they should be focusing on other things after losing
  16. It would be progress to miss out on the play offs by goal difference. Heartbreaking and still not good enough imo, but it's certainly different than finishing 14th.
  17. Hard to tell really. He seems to do a little tnof stuff with video analysis and training. No,I don't think that was Mowbrays plan to be honest. I think some treat Mowbray as far more of a Michavallian character/evil genius than is in anyway realistic.
  18. Do we use zonal or man marking? It's hard to tell if Gallagher was marking him. I though Gallagher was on the front post. It should have been Williams or Lenihan picking him up. He's a class striker at this level though. He will pass Armstrong before the season is out, no doubt.
  19. Against Millwall,ya, but for the amount of shots Armstrong is taking you would think it would happen more. No,I didn't copy and paste it. I take each season on its merits. Listen I have doubts too, but I think it's fair enough to give him this season, with this squad. No play offs and no excuse will cut it. The next appointment has to be the right one. That worries me, a lot.
  20. I certainly wouldn't say that, but it does kind of depend on where we finish etc. 7th on goal difference is different than 14th. To be honest though,it's play offs or nothing for me this season with regards Mowbrays time here. It's debatable whether we are stagnating now, but another year would more than likely go that way.
  21. It's a tricky one. I mean we can't say he has the best squad this year since being relegated, but then not give him the full season. Look ,he annoys me at times too, I just am so fearful of who they would replace him with. At best it would be Damien Johnson I reckon. I would be very happy to be proved wrong.
  22. Was Gallagher marking him though or did Pukki just spin out to that position with his movement? It all happened very quickly and it's easy to try and lay blame. Missed chances are killing us as much as poor defending imo. Not just missing them, but the fact it kills our momentum.
  23. Agreed, but the only way we will know that for certain is if he gets the full season, right?
  24. Watched Omega on TNA. What a goofball. Comparing winning the title to collecting a superman comic book. I can't take him seriously at all. If he's going for comedy, it's working. If not, well I don't know what to say lol. I think he's vastly over rated anyway, that's for sure. Moose v Omega would be a good match if there will be that type of crossover.
