  1. Smallwood was exactly what we needed at that time. We had watched Jason Lose try to be that. We obviously had better players around him for that level, but you need someone to do that stuff.
  2. He got to use the best facilities at rovers , train away ,get well paid. Go and slog it in league 1 where he surely knows that's where he will be for the rest of his career? Nah, he was dead right. He will get a good move there now with his stock for that level still relatively high
  3. 100% He just got married and had to think of his family. He got a good deal, he knows his level is probably league 1. You get an injury then and your in trouble. Dead right for taking the money. I wish him the best and if I was Sunderland or a club like that I would be taking a look.
  4. Seems a simple solution that would arguably create even more sales
  5. Fair play. That's the reason I buy the jerseys!
  6. He would be perfectly fine if there was literally any chance of him playing most of the games, like say Travis. Never happens though.
  7. That's the problem, how many games could we realistically expect Evans to play? He always seems to get injured at crucial times when himself and the team are getting going.
  8. It depends on how he is used. I think he adds value to the team if brought on at certain times. It's a young team.
  9. Did you move the posts somewhere? Was an interesting conversation!
  10. At that time I really wouldn't blame anyone for wanting out. I had almost given up! Well not really, but if I was a player, feck that I would be gone. Shite manager ,toxic atmosphere and no end in sight. Is he a legend though, nah, probably below that level.
  11. Depends on the terms really. I think young lads could learn a lot from him. More than they would from Smallwood anyway, no disrespect to the lad.
  12. How many will they even be able to make available IF fans are allowed? With social distancing , maybe 8, 10 thousand max? They might just be offering those with them the opportunity to renew
  13. Its clearly nothing like Smallwood. Downing has played for England and at the top level of club football. Clearly that's a good role model to have around the training ground. Plus he clearly contributes more on the field than Smallwood.
  14. If that was the case fine, but do you really believe people wouldn't want refunds? You could of course make it clear at the beginning in the small print that you won't get one(if that is even legal). Couldn't see many buying in that scenario, but every little helps I suppose.
  15. For his experience alone I would keep him around. Not as a starter though.
  16. That's the way in the PL now. Could kill a team that goes down though,as Bournemouth are. Hard to balance that playing in empty stadiums in the championship.
  17. I'd say Begovic is on at least £50,000 a week. Actually checked there, apparently he is on £70,000 But ya, good keeper ,I would like him too. I would also like Cristiano Ronaldo to replace Graham.
  18. Right, well if it doesn't go ahead they will have to process refunds etc. I wouldn't be confident. Anyway, back to the jerseys
  19. And what if it doesn't go ahead then? You have to give the money back and that will cost money to process, so you would end up losing money. I can't see fans at games next season. Are any teams selling season tickets?
  20. Ya? I haven't seen that Well until it's 100% confirmed, why would you start selling season tickets?
  21. How do you know that? Just because he has Rudd as his number 1, doesn't mean he doesn't rate Ripley highly
  22. I would like our two keepers to actually be genuine competition for each other
  23. He's young and highly rated. As a replacement for Leutwiler, I would be happy with it.
  24. Can't complain about any of those being released. Graham could go to the MLS and still score goals, maybe even Scotland. A lot of wages freed up and good that Downing isn't on the list.
  25. Ah come on now, that's harsh.
