  1. So when the link the likes of Smallwood or others with moves, that's fine? Anyway, maybe no one is interested in Pope at the price Burnley would want. Armstrong could be seen as a bargain gamble in and around the 10 million mark. Pickford cost 30 million, for example. Pope would be what 40 million then?
  2. No I just think it would be more surprising if Premier league clubs weren't interested in scored 17 goals , at least 2 of which contenders for the goal of the season. If you think the LT should censor stories about our better players, fair enough. A bit too Pravda for me though.
  3. I can't help but feel this is bad The more I hear from Dack though I get the impression he is a good lad with a level head on his shoulders. I think this stuff is unnecessary though.
  4. Ya the LT never link Burnley players with mov.......oh wait https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18612726.middlesbrough-eye-ben-gibson-deal-neil-warnock-stays/
  5. They are making up interest in Armstrong and they made it up about Dack too? Mmm , ok then.
  6. Christ. Jim White is a hypocrite and that's being polite.
  7. Or they are just being honest? Which I hear a lot of people asking that they be. I know you think that the LT just shouldn't report these types of stories, but unfortunately that's not how newspapers work, nor should they. I mean, it's hardly surprising there is interest, is it? I would be more surprised if there wasn't.
  8. Have you all seen the picture of Hendry pulling a full mooner after winning the PL? Pants around the ankles and all(if he is even wearing pants, its impossible to confirm from the pic). I saw it for the first time yesterday. It's incredible really. Such different times. If a player did it now it would be front page news and there would be serious questions raised about his mental health.
  9. I have a better eye than eggs head
  10. A decent keeper Tosin and a left back would be enough for me in these challenging times. Vale I like and I really like the look of Butterworth from what I have seen. Looks raw, brave and maybe even a bit Rooney esque
  11. Reading some quotes from Lenihan this morning and I'm starting to believe we might get Tosin back. That would be incredible in my opinion. Downing back, a gk then and we are laughing! Lb to follow also That would do for me, get the young lads integrated then like Butterworth, Wharton and Vale.
  12. I would be happy if we make our first signing by mid August. Anyone hoping for the end of this week is going to be disappointed I feel.
  13. I'm flat out on PES 2020. Hadn't played a football game since Fifa 2017 and Pro evo in over 10 years. One of the best football games ever IMO. The players actually feel like their stats matter as opposed to some just being faster that others. Picked it up for €5.99 about a month ago! I highly recommend it. Just give it time.
  14. Get the PS 4. Reasonably cheap now with an amazing games catalog. The PS5 will prob take a few years to get going , as they always tend to do.
  15. Played MW2 a lot a few years back and it used to stress me. Downloaded Warfare and it all came flooding back. Uninstalled after literally 5 minutes.
  16. I tried 9 again too, the text conversations feel endless. Gave up after 30 min.
  17. Exactly, Johnson is in the perfect place for him and the club right now
  18. Yes, it was tongue in cheek, thank you Windymiller. The difference with him over even say Grealish is that Rice played for the senior team, won young player of the year and then switched. Best of luck to anyone whoever they decide to play for. I don't think anyone really cares to be honest though.
  19. Well he knew at one point, does he now? The jury is out. If we don't get into the play offs next season he can't really ask for much more time or support. Especially if we regress. Big season for Tony
  20. Can Dack play there though, I don't think so. The "problem" with Dack is that he needs to play 1 of 2 similar roles, either the 10 or as a second striker. Ya, it is narrow, but the Dack situation means it kind of has to be, otherwise it's a straight 4-3-3 with Dack or Downing in your typical center midfield role. We have options in midfield and upfront, it's just how best to utilize them....
  21. Rice is miles ahead of Travis. Don't like that guy though, traitor
  22. Many, many players have had a similar injury at his age or older and not only came back the same, but better. With modern medical and fitness procedures, it's not the injury that it once was. I agree it is unlikely someone will bid that for him now, but I think that's lucky for us. Of course players can get injured again, but nowadays I think players expect to actually come back stronger from these type of injuries. Accepting £10 million now would be stupid. There is a very long list of worse players who moved for more than that. If he starts well in his first 3 games back, let alone say 5, he will be back in the £15-20 million bracket.
  23. They can feck off with £10 million for Dack. I think the few months he has been out has led to people forgetting how good he is! From the instagram stuff I have seen, he looks in better shape than ever. I always use this one for reference, but Burnley played £14 million for Jeff Hendrick and I still can't work out what he is meant to be good at!
  24. I never knew his son was a keeper, that's gas.
