Championship Season 2020 - 2021
Bigdoggsteel replied to Hoochie Bloochie Mama's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Ya, but they must see continuity as the way forward, rather than ripping the plan up and getting a whole new team in. Either option is a gamble I suppose. They will still have a decent side and I can't help but get the feeling last season was just one too many for Howe. Nothing really wrong there apart from that. -
More chance it's Dack now, than Travis.
-
A minuscule percentage of players wouldn't recover from it and that's what medicals are for. If it's not him, it's Armstrong. Nobody else would invite a bit of half that amount.

If it's Travis, I will eat my hat. It's Dack or Armstrong.

Worst Rovers signing ever?

Or even financial outlay versus game time. A bizzare one alright (so far ) -

Whereas Fulham showed you can, with no managerial experience. -

Ya, that's why I always wondered why Allardyce signed him -

Not the worst either, but personally a very disappointing one for me was Jack Byrne. I had high hopes, but I also had a niggling feeling looking at Coyle in his uncomfortable (for my eyes) tight and high shorts, that he wasn't going to be operating under the best manager. He's top 3 players, if not 1st on the list of best players in LOI now. Seems to be back enjoying football again. I'd say he will be back in England at some point. -

Ya, when people give out about the Mowbray/Bennett relationship, we need to have some perspective. The f**king Kean/Murphy one was immeasurably worse, containing 2 absolute p**cks. -

Ya, I think I read he hit the woodwork 7 times for us, or was it 11? Either way, very unlucky. I don't think the lone striker role suited him either. -
It was ridiculously bad judgement and the fact it was something I abhor like drink driving makes it worse. Whether he deserves a second chance or not , I'm not convinced. At his age, in his position , as I said , it was disgrace. Just from a football point of view, if he is back to himself, it's a really good signing for that level. Lower profile, so maybe that played into it. Before that incident he was on of the most robust players going, I never remember him being injured and missing games.

Did he say that? That was a very silly thing to say. Especially as a professional , who we had spent big money on. Even if it was the truth for him! -
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11759/12044275/richard-keogh-mk-dons-sign-former-derby-defender Great signing for a League 1 club. Be interesting to see if he can get his career back on track. Really hit rock bottom.

Only 1 minute of highlights after 38 games? Meh.

Jesus we have had some beauties. Bad for different reasons, say a high fee and high expectations (Ferguson) V low cost, but borderline criminal (Anderson). I will go with the one that disappointed me the most and has gone on to show how good he could have been, Niko Kalinic. Around that time we had a bit of a history of finding gems without spending that much. McCarthy , RSC in the striker department for example. Allardyce had a reputation for wheeling and dealing and here we had a situation where we gave him a few quid. He just never got going though and was very unlucky and often misused, Not the worst, but just looking at it from a different angle. -
IF that happens, I would say the majority of fans and non fans would say they destroyed the club. It's a simple line from where we were to where we ended up under them, regardless of the money they put in. I think it's far from inevitable that they will though, they are in far too deep already. Unless their other business goes under
-
Can you show where they done this previously
-
One isn't a left back anymore! Not would I want to see him there again. JRC is a wide man? Well ,that's going to have to change! Agreed on Bennett, but can't see any movement on that issue.
-
Please, not Madison the Messiah again.
-
Again, nobody is saying stockpile. You have a habit of answering things I don't say. As someone has said, Williams wants to be considered for CH only. Bell could be loaned out. We need guaranteed quality in that position. Whether you like it or not we have 3 for the RB role. Nyambe, JRC and Bennett. I would trust Nyambe or JRC there. Left back is the major problem. We need 2. If one is bought and the other loaned ,that's fine with me.
-
Well ideally we would sell them. My point was we are one injury at left back away from being back at square one if we only sign one.
-
He really was
-
The problem with left-back is, we are only an injury like last season away from having Bell or Williams back in there, or JRC even. We probably need 2.

Lucas Neill, although having lived there he isn't the worst and I have many Australian cousins!
