  1. Asked a couple of Liverpool supporting mates about Smith. They said said there was hype about him and he was pin pointed as a great prospect, but apparently he got a bit too big for his boots. The last arrogant ozzy did ok here though I suppose.
  2. An official statement? Has there been? Really? Don't recall that.Do you mean someone asked Mowbray and he answered? I remember people looking at money lodged by the parent company and coming to their own conclusions. As they have done again recently enough from my recollection.
  3. Yes, money is tight here, but every transfer is a gamble and no manager has a 100% record. I would say most it's about 50/50 or maybe slightly better. You can include Alex Ferguson, Pep , Klopp or whoever in that category.
  4. Pretty much this. As such I think this is a make or break season for Mowbray. Make the play offs or it's time up.
  5. As is said every year, do people want an official statement from the club on what our budget is? You keep these things under wraps.
  6. Can't imagine Big Chris on the wing, although I'm sure he would have made a better go of it than Gallagher
  7. Lets not get too excited just yet. Doesn't mean Tony will play them there
  8. In Venkys we trust LOL I will believe it when I see it , but if it is indeed true, for the love of god can we get players in early
  9. I have seen that black one online before. Love it. So clean and simple.
  10. 6 promotions but nowhere near where they were. Plus none of those promotions would be guaranteed. Be careful what you wish for.
  11. It's just about staying up, at best. Plus the players would be like rats from a sinking ship.
  12. They haven't climbed back up the leagues. Haven't been in the championship yet, let alone the premier League. It's pie in the sky dream team stuff to think we could go into admin, be deducted 12 , be relegated, lose our best players, get new local owners in and end up in a better position. Particularly at this time. Not saying I like that, but being realistic.
  13. No, they don't follow it. Man u, Liverpool and villa fans. I suppose the villa fan does a bit, the others wouldn't really have a clue. They often hit me with the "no championship talk" line. Which I pretend doesn't bother me, but actually does.
  14. No. The poster said he would take a 12 point deduction if it meant local owners. That would see us in league 1. Too many teams have struggled to get out of there. That's what I was responding to.
  15. Madness. One way ticket to League 1 and possibly below. Unfortunately.
  16. Ya and lots of fans online pointing out his delayed dive (the ball hit hit the net). Classic Raya. Walton probably would have just stood there. The dive always makes it look better, or less bad in this instance
  17. No denying it was a great hit though!
  18. When Walton was a having a good game though, he did fill me with more confidence than Raya did. Particularly under crosses. Although I blame Mulgrews refusal/inability to header for making Raya look worse when he was here. Brentford alleviated that with proper centre halves.
  19. You are responding to something I haven't said. Anyway, Just pointing out it's a clanger of absolute epic proportions. I'm in a WhatsApp group with my mates. Most didn't even know we sold Brentford Raya. All the comments last night were about how shocking it was. And yes,I do think it's worse than any mistake Walton made. A direct free from 45 yards at your near post. All day that should be saved. Ps ,I do agree with a lot of your points. After watching a season of Walton, I would prefer Raya.
  20. Indeed. You would think the much vaunted Brentford goalkeeping coach would have noticed this was a risk. Some way to lose a play-off final!
  21. No doubt he looked shaky on many occasions, but being beaten by a free kick at your near post from 45 yards out is something special.
  22. Great shot stopper, but last night shows again that he can't be trusted. That was a calamitous piece of goalkeeping last night. Worse than anything Walton did this season.
  23. He was the same against us
  24. This is exactly what I thought. Will really show just how good this scouting method is, because the vultures will be circling.
