Championship season 2019-20
Bigdoggsteel replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Very debatable. Great shot stopper but the best keepers in the championship shouldn't be getting bet from ,what, 40 yards at their near post in the biggest game in English football(financially) -

I am sure we try, but that's how negotiations work -

Classic Raya! Absolute textbook. If anyone is anyway defending that, just imagine Walton did likewise in the play off final. -

Championship Season 2020 - 2021

Ya, very dark times incoming for smaller clubs and I genuinely don't think the FA or fans of PL clubs give a crap. -
Only League 2 clubs interested on loan apparently. How much you honestly reckon they would contribute? Well, lets just hang tight and see where he ends up. That will tell how blotted his copybook is. Ya, well whether he should have gotten an extension in the first place is certainly a different discussion.
-
You're making no sense as you tend to do when you get annoyed. He was given a contract, why in gods name would he go somewhere on less? Would you? I suppose you would so going off your comments. Fair play to you. Anyway, it's an irrelevance really. Good servant, best of luck to the lad. I am sure the club will bounce back from paying him the last few months. Go and have a lie down now and don't be tempted to go and give Richie abuse on Instagram ?
-
So you would prefer he went on loan whilst we paid him? Mmm' ok then. Get out there and earn your money boy! I think any fan who is overly bothered by the Smallwood situation needs to get a grip and some perspective on whats important at the football club and in their lives to be honest ?
-
Ya, I haven't seen him myself
-
Arguably, but I think working under Gerrard is a draw there.
-
Sounds like Rangers might get that done
-
Indeed....
-
Signing Parrott is excellent business by Milwall, he looks a player. Probably signed there because Malumby gave good reviews after being there last season. I suppose it's London too , so not far from where he is now.
-
Just spoke with a Celtic fan there and he mentioned the Jones link. He said he was excellent for Kilmarnock and was doing well for Ranger, but that Gerrard took a dislike to him after an incident where he either got sent off or injured doing a bad tackle and never forgave him. He said Gerrard has a ruthless style that may not be in his own best interests long-term.
-
Well if he moves to someone like Sunderland my theory will be bang on Would be a great move.
-
Novice or not Travis is a good player, so no shame in that. Smallwood will be remembered for being a crucial part of our starting 11 that got promoted from League 1, that will have clubs interested. Dropping on loan to League 2 would only diminish that.
-
Forgot about him. Where has he been? We have a habit of throwing a young lad in for a game, they do ok and then they never play gain. Magloire and Wharton spring to mind.
-
Like why would they have a guy on whose major achievement is destroying a solid Premier league club, unless they are actually going to bloody ask him about that!

PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS ? 25 years today

What a story. I love it -
Well having a strong arse worked well for Daglish and does the job for Dack , so I see the logic
-
In many cases I agree, I can just understand why Smallwood would choose to stay here, use the nice facilities and get himself in good nick for finding a new club.
-
It's completely different to Nixon. I have no doubt there is interest in Armstrong and that Sharpe would have heard this. Simple as that really.
-
Loaned to slog it in League 2 where he could potentially get injured? His stock would be no higher doing that than it is now when looking for a new club, arguably lower.
-
"Burnely probably want this" "the Armstrong story is made up" The Dack link was made up" Man , you are starting to sound a bit ridiculous. Anyway, if a club was interested in AA, a link in the LT wasn't going to be the catalyst for that.
