  1. I wouldn't be against it, but I would keep bell as well
  2. I said last season. Lenihan was clearly the best. Who would you have second?
  3. But if we sold/loaned Bell, who would you play left back? No, I wouldn't play him left wing. We have far, far better options for there. He needs to improve defensively, but he had a season at this level under his belt now and hopefully the entire defensive unit will be better this season.
  4. OK, how about him and Lenihan were our 2 best defenders. That better?
  5. It kind of is. There doesn't need to be a conspiracy for every signing.
  6. Would it not make sense to sort the left back position first? Think this is a bit harsh on bell. Loan him back to league 1,really? Would seem pointless. His crossing could be better and he has his issues defensively, but he is good on the ball and scored a few goals in the second half of the season. Out of all our defenders last season, he definitely wasn't the worst.
  7. In fairness I don't think any manager would need an agent or scouting network to tell them that Johnson and Carson are solid championship players
  8. The key part is in your first sentence "said on here that if we bring Foderinghan in Mowbray won't be bothered about plan A"
  9. That article is so bad ? Interesting research by yourself on the lad. He must have something about him if Guardiola has given him that game time at his age and is keeping him around. A bit similar to the Reed signing insofar as he also had a solid seasons experience at championship level under his belt. Much better than just signing rookies off Premier league teams. That first season at this level should stand to him. Could be a shrewd bit of business.
  10. You know you don't have to be an actual winger to play there under Mowbray Rothwell and Buckley started on the wings yesterday. I suppose Bennett could play there too. Maybe Armstrong too. There are rumours we might sign one on loan as well on twitter
  11. I was talking about Davenport, obviously. I can use Google too
  12. Generally I just couldn't be bothered looking for where it was said.
  13. I have seen no reports that he had a history of injuries before we signed him.
  14. Exactly. We have played 4-4-2 in pre-season and this would fit what he said. It's gas the wild conclusions and criticism about his comments. The funniest thing is some will now become fact. We will start to see posters reference some of these mad formations as reality and another reason to critisice. If indeed it is 4-4-2, you actually couldn't get more practical or back to basics.
  15. I see you have added the piece about Gallagher. Did you do that in the last hour? That's a bit sneaky Still, you said you didn't say we wouldn't spend money. Even the edited version above contradicts this.
  16. Been off a few days, but I assume it has been discussed that we had the youngest average squad age in the league last season? "but why are we signing pensioners? " That's why.
  17. 4-4-2 with Dack as a striker playing just off someone would cover this.
  18. Shocking stuff. Where are the FA? Disgusting that this can happen when you have players on hundreds of thousands per week 2 divisions higher.
  19. Going off twitter it is Carson and Foderingham we are signing. Could be speculation, but if not I don't think anyone could say we haven't improved our goalkeeper situation.
  20. You said exactly this in a post on page 436. I can't quote both posts for some reason. You actually say it regularly enough to be fair. Hence why a few posters have pulled you up on it!
  21. Ya that Tyrone Mings loan wasn't very sustainable for Villa at all. What were they thinking?! What Mowbray said about loans was that you don't want most of your team made up of them. You are misquoting him there. "we won't spend money" of course we wont in your opinion, because you always find a way to spin that we haven't. You were saying the same thing all last summer. Have you not learnt your lesson?? ?
  22. Not us, but interesting Sheffield Wednesday striker Lucas Joao has reportedly handed the club a transfer request after offers from two rival Championship sides fell below the club's valuation.
