Championship season 2019-20
Bigdoggsteel replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
What clubs have done better business than us this summer? I don't know all the ins and out but from what I do know I would put us top 10 for sure. Put it this way, if Wigan or Preston signed Downing, Johnson and then Gallagher for 5 million, there would be some jealous glances. The grass is always greener though eh -

Wow. A hoax or he bottled it? I hope someone does it soon, but there is no doubt they will get abuse from morons. Will take a strong character. -

Detroit:become human is free on PS plus this week. I started it at the weekend, really enjoying it. Would recommend. My girlfriend likes it too, which doesn't happen very often. She liked The Witcher and Uncharted prior to this. -

So Butterfield has left as well as Adam, I missed that. Nuttall attracting interest from Acccrington, that would be a good move for him. I would be interested to see how many goals would score in League 1 playing most of the games. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17789935.rovers-keen-cut-squad-size-window-shuts/ After that I predict our outs to be Loaned Nuttall, Samuel, Butterworth, Grayson, Wharton, Magloire (if we sign a new center half), Fisher Sold Smallwood, Hopefully not Nyambe -
I could accept 1 , even 2 out of the 3 starting, but all 3 starting would mean something wasn't done right in the window. I know there is still time to being players in after this, but I do believe in the saying "start as you mean to go on"

If he is better, it could be counted as progress, but I take the point that ideally we should have signed someone permanent. At least we have a year to do that now. -

We have been linked with a number from sources of variable repute. -

Gallagher will turn out to be a great signing and there is plenty of time left to get a centre half or 2 in. -

We have been linked with many centre halves in the same way as we have been linked with the City young lad. If we have been working on deals behind the scenes, I see no reason we couldn't get a deal done. About half the teams in the Championship haven't made a cash buy yet. -

If Raya was one of the best keepers last season, I would love to see what kind of stuff the worst was getting up to. -

It's surprising what gets passed off as "journalism" these days. I learnt nothing from reading that. God almighty, if you went through twitter after a Barcelona game you would find enough vague criticisms of Messi to make a similar "article" -
Williams is out for 6 weeks. Probably close enough to what we will go with apart from that. I'm not against 4-2-3-1, I just don't think we will use it. It's a shame if they don't, but it does show the strength in depth we have in midfield and attack.

I find it hard to imagine Sunderland didn't have bigger losses. They surely still had lads on huge wads from their premier league days. -

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Best budget and team in L1 history? Not having that. For numerous reasons. -

Ya, but I am right We aren't going to sign Skrtel. Not a hope. Be great if we did. -

He was very versatile, was a great Gaelic footballer Ya, a good solid pro like Moran would be ideal. Wasn't he like 33/34 when we signed him though? I can well imagine what the reaction would be to his signing if similar happened now-old, pensioner and injury prone would definitely be thrown out there! -

I don't think it is even an argument, he was extremely lucky, even more so than Bowyer and lucky for us too seeing as he got us up from League 1 in a relatively straight forward manner. Just a pity he couldn't keep us in the Championship. Was close. -

Bowyer was lucky to get the job here, but I think his choices since have been poor. Maybe he didn't have other options, but he seems to have picked unstable club after unstable club. Definitely has a name for it now. I remember he was linked with Sunderland after they went down. I would have been interested to see how he got on there. -

So you aren't sure the stats are correct but you are sure he played exclusively at right-back? mmm... West brom fans are split on him. The key theme seems to be that he should play centrally. "Glad to see the back of him" is such a snarky way to put it.
