  1. Chapman still injured I see. Williams and bell both injured too. Ya, I think we need a left back. If Bell does get injured I really don't want to see Williams there again. Two keepers would be good. As long as one is permanent. A young premier league loan to compete with Carson or Ruddy
  2. Ruddy would be my first choice too, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Carson. Of all of them, Hart would be my last choice to be honest.
  3. There are three kinds of lies- regular lies, damned lies, and statistics."
  4. Interesting site. Ya, not great reading about him there. I would say his stats are considerably better for the rest of his career though. Would you agree?
  5. Pretty sure Johnson and Downing aren't volunteering their time to play here, but I suppose that doesn't count, does it? Gallagher plus a new keeper for Raya sounds like a good deal to me as well. What were you adamant the Raya fee was again, 2 million wasn't it?
  6. Derby have a new number 1. He replaced Carson for the second half of the season. Fake news gets posted here and then others run with it!
  7. I haven't read one poster say he was utter shite. I don't recall anyone saying anything that wasn't apparent for all to see with regards his weaknesses.
  8. Ha, we really do. You notice it at set-pieces particularly. The crazy thing is we played so many long balls.
  9. He was the best of a bad bunch with Yakubu. He wouldn't have got to stay in the Premier league otherwise. The good thing with the signing of Gallagher and Carson/Dann if we get them is a big increase in height in the team. All are 6 foot 3 or taller. We badly missed that last season.
  10. I am baffled that people don't think Carson is a better keeper than Raya at this current time.
  11. Lampard wanted a sweeper keeper. We don't need one. We need a solid keeper who can distribute the ball well and communicate with his defence effectively.
  12. No, I am just pointing out that he regularly changes his story and moves the goalposts to suit reality.
  13. If it is true that we have a bid in for Dann, I think that would be a good signing. I had my reservations when I heard his name due to his association with probably the worst time I remember being a Rovers fan. However the thing with him would be that he would certainly offer stiff competition to Williams and Mulgrew. Some of the young lads I have heard mentioned wouldn't be my choice at all, as I don't think they would realistically dislodge Williams or Mulgrew. Dann has pretty decent pedigree all things considered. He has played many games in the Premier league.
  14. No, centre half. He probably can and has played midfield though
  15. I think Carson would be a good signing. As mentioned above, he has been there and done that. Having an experienced keeper like that calling the shots can only improve things at the back. I just always felt there was tension and poor communication between Raya, Lenihan and Mulgrew. Some of the body language between them told a very vivid story. I'm certainly not blaming Raya , in fact I think it was on Mulgrew as captain to be the one who ironed out the issue, but we are where we are and Raya is gone, so hopefully, if it is Carson, we see some better communication at the back.
  16. On Ampadu Lampard explains Ethan Ampadus absent because he could be going on loan for the season. He is a big fan of the player and wanted to sign him on loan for Derby last season, so is hopeful he can play a lot of games somewhere this year.#CFCinJapan
  17. Even though he is publicly saying he wants to go for promotion?
  18. You love dangling a big juicy worm on the end of your rod for us don't you? ?
  19. No, that's silly, obviously I wouldn't be happy with that. Would you agree that a keeper and a CB would be counted as more than one player?
