  1. We'll see what? You completely misquoted him and now it's "we'll see" ? Comical on here sometimes Ya, he might not start straight away, I think it will be Evans and Travis, but I think/hope him and Travis will become the first choice pairing sooner rather than later.
  2. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bennett Bell Johnson Travis Rothwell Dack Gallagher I reckon the personnel for the first game will look something like this. Not sure if I have the formation correct though
  3. You are definitely taking his comments out of context here. He said he needs game time, just as every player does in pre-season. The comment on his size wasn't a dig at him being fat or out of shape, more that he is strong. “He needed a game. He’s a lad who has some physicality about him, some size but plenty of quality in his left foot,” Mowbray said of the former Leeds United and Norwich City man. “He needs to play, be fit, and get him as many minutes as possible. “I think he’s a good acquisition. He’s an experienced footballer who knows his job.
  4. I love the 2 lads on commentary. Their commentary is kind of like a day on here. They veer from blind optimism to the depths of pessimism in seconds. It's gas when they either big someone up and inevitably jinx them or slate a player only for him to do something brilliant. They never let each other off with it. Who are they?
  5. God help all of our defenders that day. Knockaert, Mitrovic and Caveleiro with Cairney behind them. We will see where we are at defensively after that game.
  6. I hope so too. I hope he is so good like Reed , Travis and Rothwell that once he plays there, he can't be dropped. Will Mowbray have him straight in centre half? Unlikely...
  7. Fake news According to TransferMarkt Adarabioyo played CB 21 times, RB 14 times and LB once. So a bit of a utility man. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tosin-adarabioyo/leistungsdaten/spieler/258878/plus/0?saison=2018 ( @DE. et all, 2019)
  8. "being billed as" LOL To be fair, we haven't even signed him so I don't think he is being billed as anything, by anyone at the club.
  9. Ya, the continued links to strikers and forwards is baffling. The article yesterday which linked us to the guy from Hibs was crazy. I clicked on it thinking "surely a defender" and then I saw it was another striker. I hope the keeper from Brighton is loan to buy, but going off their fans on twitter he is highly rated and they don't think they will sell. So ya, him on loan to replace Raya is disappointing. Hopefully we sign another keeper on a permanent if this deal isn't loan to buy. Although then why would Brighton let him leave on loan if he wasn't going to play.... No, I don't see us spending a fee on a centre half. I really hope I am wrong. As a poster said above we are a Lenihan injury away from our season being over before it starts. Crazy stuff. I hope the city lad is good enough to force his was in to play with Lenihan, as things stand that is our best option.
  10. Sharpe said there will be signings today.... The keeper and the young lad from City I presume
  11. Exactly. I have it set to the States say and it will be working perfectly. Then I log in and get a message saying "Ifollow is blocked from your location". I change it to Canada then and it might work. It just seemed like they were really on the ball keeping on top of the VPNs. It worked about 75% of the time for me. I emailed my VPNs customer service and they were good. They would change it and it might work then for another couple of goes. Bit of fecking around though. For that reason I wouldn't buy the season pass. Which is a pity. I use the VPN for other sites and never have this issue.
  12. You couldn't guarantee any of Lenihan, Mulgrew and Williams would keep fit for a season. It's more likely they won't. Come on Tony. Don't have us in a position where all the good work in attacking areas is outdone repeatedly by a makeshift defence.
  13. They kept blocking the VPN I was using(Libertyshield). For that reason I couldn't get the season pass just yet. Need to take it on a game by game basis
  14. If it has that effect, I would take it. Surely we have to sign at least one now? I think it's safe to predict it will be Lenihan and Mulgrew v Charlton. 100%
  15. She did, but he has a calf injury too. Out for 6 weeks.... I wonder is Wharton out the door permanently. Doesn't seem to be in Mowbrays thoughts.
  16. Williams injured again, eugh. Heaven forbid Lenihan gets injured now too. Our 3 centre halves are all so injury prone. Could be the young lad from city and Magloire come the end of August.....
  17. Grayson is around 7th choice, so I don't see how that could happen.
  18. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17787284.mowbray-plans-new-rovers-signing-bradley-johnson/ Classic LT. how do they do it? The boss was particularly impressed with teenager John Buckley, who operating from a more advanced midfield role, as well as Joe Rothwell who allowed Rovers to play more with the ball. They deservedly led when Travis equalised from close range after another substitute, Ben Brereton, saw an effort spilled by Allan McGregor.
  19. Rodwell was alright, but I wouldn't count him as two players. Maybe not even one player
  20. Mowbray dropped him last season for repeated errors. He probably told him during the summer or Raya figured out himself that he was no longer the guaranteed number 1. Raya decided that was beneath him and looked for a move somewhere he would be number 1. Probably got a wage increase too. That seems the most plausible to me.
  21. No, I think some people are just reasonable and look at things objectively. Then you have posters who are so blinkered in their dislike for him that they say crazy stuff like he hasn't improved the squad since taking over. This is said a bit and I think it's stupid. I don't see anyone stand up for him to the point of insanity. Which is what you are suggesting. Some posters just don't post every hour that they hate him. Like some do. You know the type. Don't ya?
  22. He has improved the squad. If you don't think he has, you are so blinkered by your dislike of him that you aren't seeing reality. Compare and contrast our squad when he took over v now. Ludicrous to say he hasn't. I didn't even read on after that because it's so factually incorrect.
  23. That high? The way you go one I would have guessed 24th
  24. I wonder why the Martinez deal didn't work out? Surely down to wages. The Forster link was never going to happen. I read the other day he is on £70,000 a week. Unless Southampton were to pay him something like 2 years of his 4 year deal and for him to take a payout and come here, that was never a runner. All very unrealistic scenarios. The issue I have now is that I think we needed a big, vocal and experienced keeper. Walton is big, not sure if he is vocal but I would have preferred someone more experienced. If we aren't going to sign a vocal keeper who can organise things, I don't see how it is an improvement on Raya and the defense in general. It's just even psychologically, I think an experienced keeper would help us. I would take Carson now in a heart beat. I would also even take Hart to be honest.
