  1. Whether it is egotistical or not, he won't be back on again unless he ups his game What is Bennett if he isn't a wing back? I think it would be the best place for him. Although he did well in the middle last year. Agree with the last 2 lines 100%. Not much time to change that though before Saturday! Shackle Dack and Graham and we are looking to who to score? Mister 1 good game in 10 Armstrong? It was Mulgrew last season.
  2. The first 3 have question marks about their ability at this level. Yes, our play means we can bypass him, but was it much different last year? He is just being marked out of it now and is struggling to find a way to break the shackles Whilst I don't agree with him being moved from 10 to striker and back, I don't get how that would impact his form when in his favored 10 role. Of course there is recognition of his goals, I have said that in every post. I think he can be a really great player, but as it stands he hasn't played as well as he did last year, goals aside. I am sure you speculate on different reasons why things do or don't go right as well, that's the life of a football fan. We can't speak in all facts.
  3. I clearly meant since his last goal. He has done little to nothing. Even in the games where he scored ,he did little else. No one else is scoring because we play too many defensive players, but ironically our players who are in the defensive positions have been shocking. Whilst 3 at the back is a concern for some, I would argue the below team gets our best player son the field in their natural positions. It was a toss up between Rodwell and Rothwell Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bennett Evans Bell Rothwell Reed Dack Graham I would love to see us play that on Saturday
  4. Jason Lowe would arguably be better. The both of them are chronic
  5. That was where he injured earlier in the season I think. Not much mention of it before the game. I am a bit suspicious and I ain't a suspicious person He has been such a disappointment for me. As an Irish lad and him starting for Rovers in a position that I played myself and had heroes in including the man in my avatar, Hendry, Nelsen and Samba , I am sad to see him struggling. He isn't a patch on the last Irish player to play in that position for Rovers in Duffy(no need to remind me of how that ended, I am just saying he is a far , far more effective player than Lenihan as things stand). I remember Sheffield united bid 4 million for him last summer. I just wonder how he would be getting on if he went there. Our defense has major, major issues.
  6. I have been saying all season, Dack isn't the same player at this level. The goals were glossing over the fact his all round play was nowhere near last season. I was shot down for saying it, but it's clear as day.He done nothing else in most of the games he scored in. The assists have even dried up. He scored the goals so fair play, but they elevated his profile, next thing he is on Soccer AM and signing a big deal with Nike. He thought he made it. Something has definitely happened with the squad morale. Whether it is the above, the new contracts or players annoyed with being left out for inferior players or being repeatedly played out of position I don't know. Maybe a combination of all. I need to single Bell and Williams out for a special mention. The lads are getting done regularly. If I was an opposition manager I know where I would be instructing the ball to be played. Lenihan has been shocking too and Mulgrew is back at a level where he doesn't look liken a center half superman, as he did in League 1. Who plays left back for the under 23s?
  7. He will be leaving to the under 23s if he keeps playing as he has been
  8. Lads, any word on why Lenihan wasn't in the squad yesterday? I suspect there may be a story behind this Anyway, as I have been saying for weeks, Dack needs to be dropped. He is now a midfield Jordan Rhodes who doesn't score. He isn't George Best, he needs to remember that. Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Reed Evans Bennett Palmer Rothwell Brereton
  9. Some valid points, but much more measured than your original post about the social media team somehow covering over the "rot and decay" at the club Mowbray has improved so much since he came here. Even where we are now is an improvement. Lets not lose perspective. Yes, Mowbray needs to sort some of his quirks out and just play people in position and pick people on merit right now, not what they have done in the past. However lets not absolve the players of blame completely. They have been rotten in the last few games. Individual errors all over the shop. Mowbray hasn't changed that much, so the players need to look at themselves. Maybe they were getting ahead of themselves. Back to basics time for all involved.
  10. What's the last paragraph about? Were the players fighting?
  11. I was thinking something similar. Imagine Rothwell and Brereton sitting on the bench, whilst inferior or players who don't even play in your position start ahead of you. Another thing the fringe players must notice is that no matter what they do, Mowbray will stick with his faves, like Smallwood for example, or Armstrong. Must be frustrating.
  12. Wow. Glad to see no one is over reacting A couple of defeats really brings them out
  13. Certainly not. You can't sack a manager who has done a really good job just because you lose 2 games in a row. He needs to turn things around though.
  14. I wonder is a bit of complacency setting in with so many after signing new deals? Feet up lads
  15. Well he doesn't pull any punches in his post game quotes. Said the performance was unacceptable. I wonder, have the players fallen out or something? Where was Lenihan tonight? What has happened to Dack? I'd say Rothwell, Rodwell and Brereton are getting pissed off with not getting game time. Up to tonight for Rodwell of course, but still.
  16. Valid points about league 1 and in particular Mulgrew. Sunderland were an absolute train wreck in the championship last season. They are now tipping along in second in League 1. The only reason they aren't top is because Portsmouth have got off to a blistering start. It's a very poor standard.
  17. I can see us drawing. Which would be awful. We could easily get dragged into trouble by January
  18. Another problem now is he has waiting too long to bring Brereton and Rothwell in. Starting them while we were doing well would have been best. Now he will be bringing them into a under performing team
  19. What did Williams do? It sound like we have played ourselves out of some bit of form for no reason whatsoever Could be a long season lads
  20. Looking down now instead of up after this shit show Tony's over thinking and fiddling has derailed us. He has credit in the bank, but we need to get our shit together. Saturday is must win. Yes, I said it
  21. Right. Well that's better on paper anyway. I watched the Preston highlights through gritted teeth. I wasn't going to. Same now with this crap.
  22. I actually thought we would bounce back. This sounds really pathetic though
  23. Crust and they missing a number of players Welcome to the championship. Could be a slog from here
  24. Williams for Graham was it? Who went up front then? Was it Dack? FFS Tony
