  1. Wouldn't have begrudged you a break this week instead of having to look at that shit show again in detail
  2. Because we don't have anyone else to play on the wing!
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing Rothwell there. No, Palmer hasn't been great, but he has rarely played in his preferred position
  4. Indeed. Like I said, I wouldn't be freezing him out, but he isn't performing as well as he can. I don't think any player should be undroppable. He is carrying a big weight though as you say, he is shouldering the responsibility for most of our goals this season. I would have expected Palmer, Rothwell and Brereton to have contributed a few by now. Even allowing for their lack of game time
  5. It's the argument that his goals have glossed over the fact he hasn't played well this season
  6. True. He is being skipped past like he isn't there. Looks slow to turn. Slow being an understatement He was never Roberto Carlos but I wonder has that injury affected him. His attempt at defending last night would have looked bad in Sunday league
  7. Just watched the highlights again. 6-0 would not have flattered them I thought the Rodwell one was a tricky ball to judge, it kind of looped in the air. However, Williams attempt for their 3rd goal was probably the most pathetic thing I have seen on a football field for a long time. Not alone did the guy skip past him, but he didn't even try and get back. Im not critical of players as ye know from me posting, but I think he needs to go in January. He is an absolute liability at this level and he will targeted more and more.
  8. You say Mowbray needs to come up with a way to get the best from him, but most of the time he plays in exactly the same position as last season. You reference his goals a lot. Should Mowbray get credit for them? A couple of those goals hit the post and the conversation is simply that he has not made the step up to this level. I wouldn't go as far as saying he had been lucky with the goals, but do you think he will keep that up over the season?
  9. Your first sentence shows a real lack of awareness Or are you just trying to troll Chaddy?
  10. I am pretty sure they plan wasn't for it to be a back 5 Of course the change could have mad us more attacking. You change depending on the opposition. Having wing backs works better against some teams. It didn't work for us, but such a change can work. You keep saying it was a defender for a striker, but he didn't put Williams upfront. Armstrong went there. I think we are going around in circles If he didn't change something with the formation or tactically he would get criticism too. Like after the Swansea game What changes would you have made?
  11. He's a good bloke is Tony Dunno how he can guarantee a win Saturday mind, but I'll take his word for it as things stand!
  12. Could you not just post it without the build up. The suspense
  13. I think the amount of talk on here about it isn't proportional to the amount of times that he has actually done it. I think this could work Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bennet Reed Evans Rothwell Brereton Graham Armstrong or Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bennett Reed Evans Rothwell Dack Brereton Graham Whatever about the right hand side, we badly need someone who can play left wing
  14. Bell and Williams have been pish, but I wonder does having Armstong on their side make their job more difficult. Nyambe has reed or Bennett there.
  15. Nyambe can be pretty decent going forward. No, the players weren't up to it, but the formation can work with the correct personnel
  16. You can use a change of formation to be more attacking. 3 at the back means you have one less defender. It's not simply a striker for a full back. Your second paragraph contradicts what happened. He put one of the summer signings in Armstrong upfront We were getting routed. They hit the post a few times. He had to try something. It just didn't work
  17. I think you are right. Maybe Tony isn't the only one who has lost touch with the present. The table before the international break led to a lot of positivity, maybe the players lost the run of themselves
  18. Aham, ahem Lenihan and Williams. I have seen some flair from Williams, usually passing it to the opposition though unfortunately That Celina at Swansea would have been a cracking signing
  19. Rothwell has looked very good. Mowbray said he is top 3 in his physical stats. Reed needs to replace Smallwood and Rothwell needs to start on the wing
  20. He wanted to go 3 at the back and push Armstrong upfront. Not the craziest idea in fairness. Didn't work though I read somewhere Graham had a knock as well
  21. I notice a few of the players who love social media and are on after a good result, are pretty quite this week
  22. It wasn't just goals last year, it was assists too I'm not advocating for freezing him out completely, maybe one game off with a 60 min cameo
