  1. It's 25 million now, if he keeps scoring at the rate he has been it could be 35 million. They are incredible goal stats for a midfielder
  2. I thought Mowbrays comments on Dack were interesting. Said he told Dack that he owes the club short term, but medium term the team needs to keep up with him. Said he won't be sold this window, but if he does leave for 25 million plus he hopes to get a large chunk to spend on 2-3 players. Pretty much what we all predicted will happen at some point He said a deal for Reed would be difficult to pull off for different reasons
  3. There are live updates on the LT Sounds like fans made it clear they support Mowbray and the players 100%,but that issues with the venkys run deep. Some blamed them for the low attendances. Mowbray said they don't think they need to apologise as they are putting in 25 million a season to run the club. Said if we are within touching distance of the play offs in January the owners will ask "what do you need?". The venkys chat seemed to end when one fan said that football people are now running the club, leave the owners in the background.
  4. Right, I hadn't heard that. I would see the under 21s as a step down from what he is doing with Dundalk
  5. Ah Keane is a double act with O'Neill. Intersting to see if they stick together in their next roles. Keane is a pantomime villain at this stage. Great player, but I wouldn't be a huge fan of his general carry on.
  6. I don't think there is a huge list of candidates. The president of the FAI is a gobshite. It's like a dictatorship. So I read. I don't think Roy Keane worked out great in a similar role. Mccarthy usually brings Terry Connors as his number 2,so hopefully that continues. If Robbie kept out of the limelight and focused on coaching someone, anyone how to score goals, that would be fine. Personally I would have liked Allardyce, Neil Lennon or Stephen Kenny. The FAI have an appaling attitude towards the league of ireland, so Kenny was never going to get it Anyways, whoever is confirmed, we literally cannot get any worse. 4 goals in 2018. Pathetic
  7. Mick McCarthy about to be announced as Ireland manager. I'm a bit surprised to be honest. I think you should never go back to old managers, but he did well before and will undoubtedly get more out of the players than O'Neill was. A nice little break from the day to day grind of club management too.
  8. On a new deal for Evans https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17239131.rovers-fans-jury-on-a-potential-new-deal-for-corry-evans/?ref=mac The last line from that Tom guy is interesting. I would say that is the last place we need to worry about I would be happy to see him sign a new deal, but do feel that the middle of midfield is a place we need to strengthen, if we are to view ourselves as play-off chasers in the coming seasons.
  9. If you put the club crest on the right of the BRFCS banner on the top, that would look good. Even the rose would be a nice touch
  10. Jesus lads ye could have warned us this was coming Change scares me!
  11. I would be happy enough with a quality striker and CB, but as you mention, it's so tight, maybe someone with an X factor like Chapman would not be the worst call ever. Players like that aren't easy to find, obviously he would be a huge gamble with the injury record.
  12. Ah come on now. If we sign a goalkeeper, right back, center back, winger AND a striker-who leaves? Who drops out of the match day squad? That's 5 new players. Be realistic man!
  13. Low blow and I thought we were getting on well ? I liked Bowyer, a lot. I just felt whenever we got near the play offs something would go wrong.
  14. To avoid clogging the thread. Chaddy said that he thinks we will be in for Bauer in January. That doesn't mean that he thinks we should
  15. I lost patience with Bowyer myself. Always felt like whenever we got near the play-offs, we would take 2 steps back.
  16. 2 assists in about 20 minutes of game time, I would say he is on the right track
  17. Newcastle the prime example that attendances do not equal success
  18. The squad has players worth money now alright and that's a good thing. Selling to buy is one thing, but buying with a plan to sell a player or players at some unknown point in the future, doesn't really make sense. Obviously it's good for everyone that we now have players worth money! The only way they will get a return on their investment at this stage is promotion to the Premier league. Anything else, including selling players, is small change.
  19. He played for us for 14 seasons, if someone who wasn't from Blackburn played that much, I would imagine they would be mentioned in a similar breath
