  1. Just buy your ticket before the surcharge kicks in then. I still think if you are willing and able to fork out £27 for a ticket, you would only refuse to part with £3 extra out of principle. Which of course is fair enough and your own prerogative. I also think that is cutting your nose off to spite your face at this point.
  2. I could be wrong, but I suspect people who wouldn't go anyway are using the surcharge as an excuse.
  3. I am picturing Waggot , Mowbray and the 3 Raos in a WhatsApp group. Balaji sending smutty videos completely unrelated to what is being discussed.
  4. Even if they do trust the Rovers lot, I find the cancellation odd. This meeting was being mooted since the summer and as I mentioned already, up to a fortnight ago if not last week we were being told it was going ahead. Surely there should be a reason given
  5. I think once a year would be fine, maybe during the summer. It's the short notice change of plan here that I find odd
  6. Ya, up to 2-3 weeks ago the word was that the two of them would be heading over. My suspicioun and worry is the Raos canceled it because they didn't have the time, read its not one of their top priorities.
  7. Probably best that he didn't have to traipse over, but I do wonder why he didn't. Is communication good enough without going over?
  8. Ya, that's exactly what I was getting at. I would almost put Tomlinson and Travis in that category. Mahony when he was here too. I agree that Mowbray is more cautious than most in many ways, but he did sign the 17 from WBA last year thinking he was good enough to play a part.
  9. Even if he played for us in the championship the top teams would still be signing him for their under 23 squads. They wouldn't be signing him to play first team. Valid points, but my main point is just that I think managers are overly cautious introducing younger players. It seems like 23 is the new 18
  10. It sounds like he is a revelation. Phil Foden played for City at 17. Woodburn for Liverpool and Wales likewise. There are outliers to the norm of progression though the age groups. In my opinion if he is as good as reports, he is just as likely to do well for the senior team as the under 23s. He is less likely to leave us if involved with the 1st team as well.
  11. How long is he going to be out for? We could do with him after the international break. Games will come thick and fast
  12. I find it strange that the top 6 clubs in England want to sign him, yet he isn't even good enough for a place on our first team bench. I stand by my comment that there is an overly cautious approach with young players these days. Anyway, if he is only going to be in the under 23s this season, he would be far better off staying here than going to a top 6 club.
  13. True , although I was referring more to appointments at League 1 level and below specifically your Edgar Davids, Sol Campbells and Harry Kewells. The Ipswich appointment was so bad because they replaced one of the most seasoned, experienced and practical managers in the Championship with a lad who had one decent enough season in League 1. Ya, there has been threats of a few. I backed Mourinho to be the first sacked this season at the end of last season at 16/1. Was sure I was quids in a few weeks back, but I'd say the Fulham manager or Sparky will probably end up going first now. I still firmly believe that the newly promoted teams would be better off sticking with who they have, even if they go down. If Fulham or Cardiff replace their managers I think it is unlikely they will improve much. They will just end up back in the Championship with a worse manager than they got promoted with.
  14. If he is as good as he sounds I don't see why he can't just bypass that. I find the introduction of young players these days is far too controlled and cautious. A lot of them just end up stagnating in under age set ups and/or a cycle of going on loan. Throw him on for the last 10 minutes of a game. It's all so structured these days. Everyone pretty much knows who the opposition will have or on the bench. We need more Wayne Rooney type debuts, just let a young lad with no fear on to do his thing. Don't coach it out of them. It's easier with wingers or forwards I feel, opposed to goalkeepers, defenders or centre mids. Less pressure and less repercussions if they do make mistakes.
  15. Didn't take Mystic Meg to see that one wouldn't work out. It surprises me when clubs in the lower leagues make odd appointments like this one. In my opinion it would make far more sense to appoint a manager from the leagues below who has done well.
  16. If you are using a food bank, I don't know if you should be buying tickets for football games full stop! Agree is should be dropped anyway
  17. While I agree that there shouldn't be a 3 pound charge, I still can't believe that this is an actual deterrent for people who want to go to a game. Seems to have gone from mountain to mole hill on here anyway. I just can't wrap my head around someone who wants to go, refusing to do so for the sake of 3 pounds. Be intersting to see what happens if /when it's removed. Going off reading some comments here there should be 1000s back in the ground lol
  18. If he is as good as it sounds he should be in the first team. Mowbray signed Harper last year and played him at 17,so I don't see the issue here. Get him in Tony
  19. Option to buy it says. Is that not the same situation as Brereton? If we have the option, I don't see how anyone else can sign him if we want to exercise said option
