  1. Doubtful unfortunately. Dyche will always be a hero there. Particularly when the natural order is resumed. They will think back on the good times fondly. Would someone hurry up and give him a new job though please
  2. He was probably on the same at Forrest to be fair
  3. It's testament to the squad Tony has built that we aren't all freaking out about ;Dack, Lenihan and Mulgrew not playing. I wouldn't mind seeing Palmer start, with Dack coming on. I reckon it would suit Dack.
  4. I bet the only two who will miss out are Raya and Lenihan. Tony is just being cute and playing mind games with Shtevey boy
  5. I am sure a professional footballer would have no problem getting a mortgage
  6. Did he get back into management at all after that?
  7. Of all positions I don't get why you need experience playing at a certain level when it comes to being a keeper. The ball, shots and crosses are all the same. How would having Championship experience help?
  8. What about your strong views on laughter emojis Stuart? Do people not have the right to laugh at others posts?
  9. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Mowbray picked Fisher. He has had more game time in competitive games this season than Leutwiler. Both are better than Steele anyway, so that's good!
  10. Jake Kean is a free agent I believe and this guy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Przemysław_Tytoń
  11. I don't think there is any definitive scientific evidence when it comes to a creation theory. Evolution is the best we have, but as in many fields, the scientists in that area are very resistant to new evidence. There are also a lot of holes in it. To bring it back to the topic, if Hoddle said he believed that God created the earth is his toilet, people would have said "that's a bit mad". I don't know if he would have lost his job though. He did cos what he said was nasty and attacked a vulnerable group. They surely aren't discussing such deep topics on the Burnley forum. Anyways, I will be back on this thread Friday after a doobie
  12. I agree with the rest, but can't agree with this line. I don't believe it, so maybe common sense would say it's not the case, but it definitely cannot be scientifically proven. Just like we can't prove that we weren't all created by a giant spaghetti monster! People can claim anything when it comes to this stuff. Better off keeping it to yourself though.
  13. No, you can't disprove his comments, just like we can't disprove that suicide bombers arrive in heaven to 100 virgins. I agree that political correctness is gone crazy. I would say that stuff like man sized tissues needing to be renamed is stupid. Likewise not being allowed quote Churchill is stupid. However I think Hoddles comments were nasty and targeted at a very vulnerable group. I wouldn't want to work for someone who had those views. I can totally understand why he was sacked. Back then there wasn't such over reaction to comments made which nowadays would be jumped on, I think that just shows that his comments really did hit a nerve, not just with "snowflakes"
  14. Debatable if he is the best technical centre midfielder we have. I would say that is Rodwell
  15. Sniveling and sneaky to the end
  16. I suppose for a club like Burnley it must be hard for their fans having not won a major trophy in like what is it, 70 years? We won one in the 90s and in the 00s. We are due one this decade actually
  17. I heard that about Givet too. We need to get to the bottom of who actually lamped him so that they can be credited and celebrated accordingly! Footage of it would also be a real treat
  18. Jesus I think if I was disabled I would be very pissed off by Hoddles assertion that it was because I did something wrong in a past life. He is entitled to his beliefs, but I can totally see how parents of a disabled child for example would think he was a prick for saying that. I am most definitely not very PC or overly sensitive.
  19. Have to echo a lot of what is said. I don't know if I will enjoy a season as much as last year for a long time. Unless this season continues to go well I am sick of listening to Man u fan fans complaining that Mourinho isn't allowed make more signings so he can compete with City. They are a horrible soulless club now.The only saving grace of the Premier league is that Klopp and Guardiola manage there. You take then 2 of them out and that is one seriously dull league.
  20. Kalinic and N'Zonzi were Big Sam signings though I think?
  21. The man is a genius!
  22. I think Stuart has something against Canadians. I don't see how he has definitively made his mind up from the few number of games Leutwiler has played. Just reading there, he is 6 foot 5(not Stuart), so that could be useful for corners, long balls and crosses into the box. We will miss Rayas reflex saves, but hopefully we see an improvement in distribution. Big opportunity for him coming up now.
  23. I don't get from those comments that Mulgrew is out. What are people seeing that I'm not??
  24. Sounds like Mulgrews injury is minor enough. I reckon him and Lenihan will play. I hope what happened Raya doesn't effect his gane going forward. Certainly out for the weekend
  25. If we only signed players who supported Rovers, we would be somewhat limiting our reach Thought Lenihan came across very well in the interview. Definition of a good role model for kids promoting education along with football.
