  1. But his was the hand of God, which trumps Danny 'two hands' Graham. This is basic theology and I'm very surprised you've even brought it up. For shame.
  2. Mowbray didn't say he didn't want foreign players. He said he didn't want them this January because it might take them a while to bed in so they might as well come in summer.
  3. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/11618609/blackburn-3-0-hull Danny Graham being dreadful by having a hand in two of the goals?
  4. He'd be a cracking signing.
  5. E M Forster's less well received follow up.
  6. I thought Dack was poor today. Everybody else was very good.
  7. As others have said that's the best 1st half performance under Mogga. Evans and Travis have been superb in the middle and completely stopped Hull playing. Bennett has been equally good at full back. Hard to single anyone put for criticism. Dack perhaps as he's still not quite at his brilliant best. If Hull get one early 2nd half I'll be worried. They can't be as bad as that again. An early goal for us will kill it. COYB
  8. AA cuts in off the left and scores. Knew he would.? Brilliant finish
  9. He looks petrified the big southern ponce?
  10. He's only been back 10 minutes and he's already started
  11. Not sure of the merit of playing Reed on the right and AA on the left. AA has been poor there but good every time he plays wide right. I'm sure it'll click with Mowbray one day? Reed has been ok on the right but he looks out of place IMO. I prefer Bennett there, he's more naturally suited to it. Problem is we've a load of options for RM but none on the left (besides a totally out of position AA). IIRC Bennett played LM against Wigan at home last season with AA on the right. May be time to try that again to make the most of AA's pace. A left footed LM/LW has to be a priority signing either this Jan or in the summer.
  12. Reading the Boro forum someone points out that it's Chapman's attitude rather than ability and injuries that's hampered his progression up there.
  13. It was posted in the Chapman thread an hour ago and not by Chaddy. However, Chaddy is back. Apart from that...
  14. They are in good form and it will be a tough test for our defence. They've scored either 2 or 3 in each of their last 6 away games adding up to a grand total of 14 goals in those games. The best in the Championship. When I saw brief highlights of them the other day they seemed to get a lot of men in the box so that goal record is no surprise. On the other hand they concede a fair few (10 in their last 6 aways) It will be 0-0. Att: 14,209
  15. Excellent. Looking forward to the unveiling.
  16. So none of you actually know?
  17. Is today one of the days we have total faith in the twitterings of Nixon? Was it him who said the other day contract talks with Dack had stalled?
  18. I'm looking forward to Harry occasionally coming on in the 85th minute.
  19. Did anyone read the S*n article where this originated? Is it a Nixon special?
  20. You are getting me excited.
  21. I think you might want to blow him off a tiny bit. He is quite rugged so no judgement here. But I get your point. Mowbray will hopefully be looking to get someone who is better than every other CH at the club. But that's a separate issue to Downing being allowed to leave. If we do have an injury crisis that necessitates having to get the 5th choice CH in again I'd hope it would be someone like Magloire rather than a lad who is L1 standard and will be leaving the club in 6 months anyway. Williams is a as good as Downing. Like Downing he can have good games and bad games. Unlike Downing he is mobile which you have to be in the Championship. People forget how bad Downing has been against mobile strikers.
  22. He's just played in a back 4 that has had two clean sheets in a row. One of those games was against Millwall where he stood up well to the physical stuff apparently. I'd be more worried about him playing a team that plays quick attacking football. He's dangled a leg twice and given penalties away against players running at him. As for Downing, he's way down the pecking order. If we do replace him it has to be with someone who is good enough to challenge the likes of Rodwell and Lenihan for a starting spot, not just be good enough to be 5th choice.
