  1. There is no plan B and never has been. Apart form the long diagonal to the 'wide forward' which is just a variation on a theme. We are set up to contain the opposition in the main, hence our cautious first half performances in nearly every game. It's been our strength at times and we've been able to nick a 1-0 here and there from a Dack goal or a set-piece, but it also means it takes us ages to get into the game and by that time it's sometimes too late. Can anyone remember a time when we've come flying out of the blocks at home and gone for the jugular like PNE did on Saturday? I genuinely can't.
  2. Well firstly, we were dead and buried until Mowbray turned up. He may well have cost us points at home due to his cautious nature but they weren't points Coyle was going to win. He had tried and failed all season. How long you've been around is irrelevant. How many pals you have from Burnley is also irrelevant. You told a Rovers fan to 'respect' Coyle. That is quite plainly a ridiculous notion for so many reasons (his defence of Kean being one of the more obvious ones, and that's before we even get on to his blatant lies about SEM) A true Rovers fan would never 'respect' Coyle. No-one was asking you to choose between your friends and Burnley either. I find it weird having to explain that to a grown man.
  3. He's on his ignore list. He said 'poorly' and Chaddy thought he said 'Coyle y' and stormed out.
  4. Why would a Rovers fan respect a manger responsible for taking us down....and Burnley up?
  5. To be fair he was a lummox in the Championship.
  6. He wants to get him in his wine cellar and do some serious fermenting.
  7. Given Blackburn's proximity to Darwen I'm surprised by Mowbray's unnatural selections.
  8. Palmer up front again please. Lovely technique and potential.
  9. I'm hoping we can spend another £10m on 'potential' in January and then sit them on the bench/play them out of position. We are Man City and we can do that. Hence the new forum design.
  10. Palmer - you agree he's shit but you've mentioned the word potential so 'yay' great signing. I'll stick with 4/10 Armstrong an 8. Are you his mum? He's created absolutely nothing from the wing. He's made some great runs but there's no end product. His crossing is poor. He's a goalscorer and is completely wasted out wide so I don't blame him, like a few other he's being played out of position. Square pegs etc....He'd be perfect in a 2 up front. In fairness though he's playing in a team that doesn't create chances so he makes some clever runs in behind the full backand they are usually for nothing because he doesn't get the ball. He'd be an 8 in the right team I've no doubt, but not playing on the wing in a long-ball time like he is now. Rothwell - can't get a game but the manager is bigging him up a la Gladwin. He has ability but I don't think he's a winger (he was poor out there for Oxford by all accounts). Based on his contribution so far 4/10. BB - excellent signing? The manager doesn't even rate him enough to play him. Spending £7m on 'potential' is insane. That's what the finished article goes for in our league. Again, though. if the manger won't play him in his favoured position and give him an extended run then it's unfair to be too harsh on the lad. There's a theme developing here... Reed - we agree on, excellent signing so far. Rodwell has been fine in the few games he's played and could be a bargain if his body holds up When your signings can't even get in the team and you've spent close to £10m+ on them then questions will rightly be asked. The team is still full of the players he inherited. His signings have been generally poor. I considered the 'laughing' emoji like you did with my post but then I realised I was the better man.
  11. Do we only have Dack to pass to? Why can't we play it out wide to the wingers and let them do the creating. Oh, hang on... Another goal from a set-piece at the weekend and none from open play. I remember you slagging Pulis earlier in the season. Mowbray's 'style' is very similar. Pulis, however, can set his teams up to defend.
  12. Well, your fan club will love that Mr Jokey joke-maker
  13. Thank god you're not in charge.
  14. Bennett suspended, Smallwood available for Wigan.
  15. So he's spent £7m on someone who can't do the job. Unbelievable. £500k you can understand, even a million or two, but £7m is incredible. So incredible he has to play a midfielder up front. Brentford do moneyball but they've never spent £7m.
  16. He's lost every single away match bar one this season. Mowbray has fared better than him this season.
  17. He's no left foot. We'd be better off investing in a quality LB.
  18. I prefer Williams but LB is certainly a position we should be looking to strengthen.
  19. Having a fancy border round your posts is like wearing pink boots. If you're Elliot Ward it looks a bit silly
  20. He's an international for the 33rd ranked team in the world (just below Iran). Show some respect.
