We were the only ones in L1 to spend money, we had the biggest budget (with Wigan) AND he was allowed to keep the players who were Championship players and should never have been playing in that league in the first place. What he did was galvanise those players. That's his great strength.

If you go through them the ratio of good/bad buys is stacked against him. We've already had to pay off two and the ones he got in the summer have contributed very little. I'd only give him 5/10 because Dack was a masterstroke.

Interesting. The money was obviously there in the summer but Rovers struggled to attract the likes of Celina who went to Swansea instead. If the money is there again in January then a few wins beforehand would certainly make us a more attractive proposition to players. Disagree entirely. It is the main point. He has signed players who have talent but he is playing them in ways that negates their talent. He would have been better off signing players that were specialists in the areas he is shoehorning these lads into, unsuccessfully. If Mowbray stays for 4 years and those players never play in their correct positions and end up leaving for nowt because no-one wants them, then they would still be poor signings.

Boro have been fairly dreadful at home recently so there's always a chance. We don't tend to defend set pieces well though so they may see us as vulnerable on one of the things Pulis's teams are normally very good at. Tony may even tinker to a back 3 so he can get both Lenny and Downing on the pitch. I fear we will lose by a couple of goals.

I'm with you on this. No-one is advocating violence or abuse of any kind on here as far as I can see, so I don't think anyone should be assuming they will like @JHRover has.
