  1. That's cos his legs have gone.
  2. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11568961/blackburn-4-2-sheffield-wednesday Highlights.
  3. As Mowbray said after the game, Lenny is strong and mobile so Downing won't get much of a look-in. Lenihan is a very good defender who sometimes makes rash decisions, which will improve with age. There is no comparison ability-wise between Downing and Lenny.
  4. He wasn't going to change it when we were winning. Evans just looked a bit like he was nursing a niggle by the end of the game. Travis maimed one of their players within minutes so it's all good!
  5. Reed set the tone today, he was chasing down everything from the 1st minute. Smallwood and Evans were both good too.
  6. What a refreshing change that was. We actually went for it from the first whistle and had them on the back foot from the off. We also got people in the box, including Evans on numerous occasions where he normally doesn't move from the centre circle. We played like the home team. Think on Tony... I thought he'd be dreadful but Downing was very good. The game suited him, a lot of aerial duels which he does well. Still tried to give them a goal with a dreadful pass, but his run and pass for our 2nd goal was Beckenbauer-esque. Conway was excellent too. Showed the kind of intelligence and nous that AA and Palmer lack. Delighted for the 'bull'. Mogga said he's pretty much a cert to keep his place at the Riverside and so he should. A proper winger playing on the wing. Who'd have thunk it... Dack and Graham were brilliant. Well done the team and well done Mogga. First win by more than a goal all season in the league. SWFC had some talented plyers but were a long way from a team.
  7. I'm setting off soon. I genuinely can't be arsed watching Mowbray's team shuffle around in their own half and then occasionally just hoof it out of play. I'm not sure what came first - the Depression or watching Rovers☹️
  8. Did you once threaten Tom in a pub? I think someone on here once said you did?
  9. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/december/ticket-news-leeds-united-a/ £39 at Leeds. We've been allocated 2,500
  10. Yep, Dack apart, we are still wholly reliant on players he inherited. He's spent over £10m achieving that.
  11. That might be an idea. I can get that hammered* I'll think we're the other team. * 4 pints is usually enough
  12. I'm going to finishing watching a film on my phone during the 1st half. Then when we start playing in the 2nd half I'll turn round to face the pitch.
  13. A statue would have been a lot cheaper.
  14. It's been a joke form the start. As you pointed out a few weeks ago the clubs were claiming they weren't ware of what they had signed up for in the summer. They've obviously kicked-off about it now and Harvey has compromised by banning pubs and clubs from showing it. Good for SKY because now more people will have to get a subscription rather than go to the pub. It's a racket.
  15. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/17269483.frustration-for-blackburn-rovers-fans-as-midweek-tv-pub-games-are-axed/ You can't go to the pub anymore and watch us on the red button.
  16. Every club has a wage structure. What do you mean by 'carefully maintained'?
  17. Indeed. We keep getting walloped.
  18. You don't go in to a game with that defence expecting not to concede. Downing and Bell are poor and Mulgrew, without having Lenihan next to him, is a different player and not in a good way.
  19. It's only Rich Sharpe's prediction. He got the PNE line-up wrong iirc. He's only just started doing this 'predict the line-up' thing in the last few matches. We'll see if he's been tipped off but I think he'll be very wrong with that line-up. If Downing starts then we've no chance. He really is awful, but then Rodwell is a liability too.
  20. Sharpe's predicted Rovers team:- Rovers: David Raya, Ryan Nyambe, Paul Downing, Charlie Mulgrew, Amari’i Bell, Harrison Reed, Elliott Bennett, Craig Conway, Joe Rothwell, Bradley Dack, Danny Graham https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17267613.rovers-v-sheffield-wednesday-everything-you-need-to-know/?ref=mac That's a fairly grim defence. Dropping Smallwood and Evans would be brave (unless they are out suspended or injured?) Conway's legs have gone but he's the only 1 in the squad who is a genuinely good crosser of a ball. Again, further proof of Mowbray's failure in the summer transfer window.
