  1. He was shocking in the first half and I only saw him after we went 2-0 up and Villa gave up. Hopefully Tugay will be back next week and play Emerton in left midfield with Reid on the right
  2. Im sure they play IN Rome on Wednesday. They also play tomorrow so could be a good time to play them.Hopefully
  3. he he he he. We mugged em! oh well. YESSSSSS
  4. Well Rovers shouldn't even be having a chance of a champions League place so we blew nothing as we had nothing to lose Grow up Jim. (someone had to say it, glad it was me!) Just got back and was certainly worth the £15 i snuck in as a Junior. Thought the lads played really well and out played a good side on their own pitch. No way did we deserve to lose but ###### happens. Remember the MGP handball against the Toon. In a funny way, that match could really boost the lads as it proves that we are not playing above ourselves(as i wrote on here a couple of weeks ago that we probably were). Spurs have Chelsea away next week while we play Villa, so the gap will PROBABLY be down to 3pts again. Spurs also still have the likes of West Ham and Arsenal to come. Btw- what happened to Tugay, whats his injury?
  5. Cant see it. They have a very hard fixture list in the next few weeks and also have the FA Cup to think about.
  6. Wonder if that Rovers fan steward is still there??
  7. Really??? For a start, Spurs have two of the weakest full backs in the league with Stalteri and Lee. They also have a problem at left midfield with either Davids or Tineo(sp) playing out wide, who would not get in the rovers first 11. And would most people really rather have either Jenas or Murphy replacing Sav or Tugay in the middle?? Now for their strikers, if you seriously believe that Defoe is a better player than Bellamy, then you listen to the pundits on MOTD way too much. Keane or Mido would get in the Rovers side, but neither would replace Bellamy as he is far the better player all round
  8. Well if nobody said it, it certainly WOULD have happen!
  9. Anyone else get the feeling that John Toshack will play Bellamy for the full 90mins in Wales friendly tonight. He'll probably end up injured meaning he'll have to miss Sundays game
  10. thats because Rovers sent back the 600 tickets from the lower tier!! They are only selling in the upper. I was able to buy 4 tickets in the upper yesterday with no problem. We probably will sell out soon as there are only 1,100 available
  11. yes but, a return train to/from London from/to Blackburn costs over £50!! There holds another problem. The cost of actually getting to Ewood!! And im sure places closer to Blackburn still cost way more than the actuall match tickets do.
  12. Have you all heard this yet: Its when Stuart Hall meets Robbie Savage. Crazy is the word to describe it Look down the page to find the audio link
  13. what suprised me was that he decided to bring him on instead of Bentley on Saturday! I've got a feeling he may use Emerton on Sunday more for his defensive qualities rather than Peter or Bentley. Or do other think Emerton has played his last game?
  14. Well, recently he's been playing crap away from Ewood so it's not such a huge loss, but certainly a blow. Anyway, i would still be happy with a top 10 place as at the start of the season i was not so confident we would get anywhere near that. BUT. I can see the likes of City and Wigan fading away and when i see West Ham play, i always ask myself why the hell are they anywhere near Europe?!(probably struggle next season IMO). If we lose to Spurs on Sunday that will probably end our chances of top 4 but i would take 6th place now if it was offered to us.
  15. No!! He was average at best in his final year at the club. He was offered a new contract and he rejected it. If he was not from Blackburn nobody would be making such a song and dance about him comming back.
  16. Well actually, if the winner of the cup finishes in the top 6, the runner-up (if not in the top 6) gets a place in Europe instead. So really, we must hope than Liverpool and Chelsea will avoid each other before they reach the final
  17. how many Arsenal fans where there today btw?? I know we gave them 2,500 tickets, but they didnt sell out. Lee??
  18. Yes but, we were higher in the table than both West Brom and Everton and expected to take points of both. Plus, we've hopefully still got a healthy match fit Bellamy for Sunday.
  19. Well, Paul Dickov's back for this game, thank (Please don't use that word again) for that!! We might actually start to look dangerous attacking again. He's easily Rovers must underated player of the past 10 years
  20. first- We hammered Arsenal 2-0 at Ewood in the League while they were top of the league with a few games to go. We also beat Chelsea away the season they finished 4th. And, you seriously STILL believe the reason why people dont bother coming anymore is because of what happened in the last 2 seasons. See, i would have bought that at first but despite some fantastic wins this seasons the locals still feel that have something better to do than watch Rovers. And you say "Beating Utd was two steps forward, losing at Everton and WBA was two steps back." Well we aint Chelsea! It will be like that for years and has been in the past. The stay aways will be 'away' for years to come if thats true
  21. Finally, someone said it!!! Everyone seems to have forgotten how good we were under Souness for a couple of years! We are no where near reaching that level under Hughes(not his fault, we just have average players). We played teams like Arsenal,Man Yoo,Celtic and Chelsea off the park in certain games against them. We also used to create so many chances every game(even in his last full season) now we are lucky to create 2 a game. The only reason why we are 7th is because the Premier League is so poor this season.
  22. to be fair- under Souness, we never had as poor a crowds as we do today. So it cant be to do with style of play as the reason why crowds continue to fall. Also, we seemed to be on TV a lot more in the Souness years compared to today. Maybe its to do with Big name players and managers.
  23. or maybe, Wolves were just really really crap and did not even bother to do any research on watching Emerton play. its probably more likely
