  1. I expect Johanson will have far better offers than us. And even if he didn't, would he really want to be in another team that's just going to get battered game after game next season?
  2. We will have to hope that Leicester don't turn up with their shooting boots, because we won't bother attacking them. The comments of "hitting the target of 50 points" after the draw yesterday shows that. We will likely concede a bucketful and if Lady Luck is on our side then we will stay up because of another result, rather than our own (please let it be Big Club). Leicester 4-0 Rovers
  3. I saw a clip from a podcast not so long ago with Big Sam and Tony Pulis and Pulis was talking about when Stoke got promoted to the Premier League. He said Sir Alex told him they needed to make their home games as nasty as possible, and if opposition managers started praising their football they were as good as relegated.
  4. I wasn't the biggest fan of Mowbray but he was leagues ahead of Eustace.
  5. Okay... which doesn't at all refute my point that behind the forwards they had less players than normal so we could have putting someone more attack minded and pinned them back. Honestly I don't get what your point is, bot for the first time admittedly.
  6. If a 10 man team has 2 up front, they by default have less behind than they normally would do. They couldn't do that if we pushed someone up the field.
  7. What on earth have you seen that makes you think he's a fine manager? He's been dire with us and has been dining off of a short burst of results at Brum in the gap between clubs. Arguably, Wharton aside, he has a better squad than JDT had because a lot of the injured players came back when he took over, and yet still he can barely scrape points.
  8. Also, needing to score against 10 men and we're still playing 5 at the back? The manager is an utter clown.
  9. Gally is awful. Yet another game where everything has gone our way and we've completely bottled it due to bad tactics and even worse players.
  10. Sammie is the only one who doesn't need 10 seconds to decide what to do when he gets within 30yds of the opposition goal, it's infuriating.
  11. So close! Thought he'd blown it and inches away - come on lads.
  12. Kyle McFadzean has been really good today, I've been critical of him but he made that red card and he's been pushing all game.
  13. It's the kind of thing that I'd more understand in the 85th minute, rather than the 50th.
  14. Weds 2-0 up. Interesting how all these other clubs improved after changing managers but we seemingly got worse.
  15. I agree it isn't a red, but why give the referee the decision to make? It was completely unnecessary from everyone involved.
  16. What a clown, I know we were all for passion but what on earth was that. Get him out the club, utter moron.
  17. Oh 100%, and here is where all this nonsense about "building a sustainable model" falls apart - we never, ever reinvest to replace what we lose properly. We just hope that someone is going to score an absurd amount of goals compared to their history. We're bloody lucky Sammie stepped up because without him I'm confident we'd be lucky to be competing with Rotherham.
  18. First half could have been worse, but I really don't get any sense of urgency in this squad and with results as they are that couldn't be much worse, A Plymouth goal now and we're in big, big trouble.
  19. That is a honking line up, very much an expect the worst, hope for the best scenario regardless of how tired Coventry are.
  20. If we were a normal club, I'd be saying we shouldn't go near a new deal for him. However, our alternative will probably be a 14 year old skipping school so it might be the better option.
  21. We just need to get the points we need, secure our place for next season and then we can get on with the biannual transfer window debacle.
  22. Very few of our players offer more than very little, while there are a few that offer less than even that.
  23. I'm not so sure the Cov result really does help us to be honest. We struggle against everyone, but we especially struggle to break down teams who sit back, which a tired side are more likely to do. They have nothing to play for, but in recent history Rovers only turn up if we have nothing to play for.
