  1. Some of the worst goalkeeping I've ever seen but we take it. Our right back is our only creative outlet at the moment.
  2. I don't know the cause but in both attack and defence every single one of our players is so slow to react to anything.
  3. The board and the players don't put much effort in so why should the fans spend a small fortune to put up with it? Early days but we look really, really poor again.
  4. Potentially for right back in Alebiosu can't last?
  5. To be fair to Yuki I felt that he did more as the lone striker than Gudjohnsen on Saturday. He brought it down a few times but the gap between him and the midfield was enormous and he got no help. Not to say he was great, but as far as Rovers players in that game, for me he was one of the least bad. Hopefully the second, because he was one of the only ones trying to put a shift in at the weekend.
  6. Seeing a lot say Gudjohnsen but whilst Yuki didn't do much yesterday he somehow did considerably less. Even Gueye was more impactful. Admittedly I didn't see the last two games but absolutely nothing I saw of him made me think "yeah, he should be starting".
  7. Back home, absolutely gutted that my partner's first experience of an away game was so utterly depressing. The fact that the tickets weren't there to collect until 2.20pm should have been the omen I suppose. Let's be clear, there were two major issues in this game and I think both bode badly in the long term. The first is the tactics. Charlton were direct and every time they had a set piece they looked to capitalise. Us? We tapped it from keeper to defence, passed sideways a bit like crabs and then either lost the ball, passed it back to Toth or hoofed it up to Yuki, who to be fair to him won it a few times only to have zero support. If we got a set piece, we either blasted it over or just passed it back to Toth and started again. This means we create nothing of note and also invite pressure - the subs and formation changes actually made us worse. The second is the lack of fight and passion. Toth, Wharton and Miller (and Alebiosu before he went off) put themselves about at least up until the first goal, but the rest of them? Not an ounce of effort. The worst offender by far was Tavares, who actually contributed negatively to the team. This team doesn't have the fight needed for a relegation battle, but that's exactly where we will be. We will pick up some results here or there as everyone does but we have no depth at all. Relegation inbound.
  8. Does he have pace? He looked like he was running through treacle today and offered nothing when he came on.
  9. Rudy said this squad is stronger than last season, so by his logic we should be in the play-off spots, not getting completely and utterly destroyed by Charlton.
  10. I've been saying it all season tbh. This squad would not get out of league one.
  11. This team is 100% getting relegated. No fight and no clue.
  12. As someone who is here this is anyone but Toth, we keep giving them shot after shot. I don't think we've had a single one yet.
  13. What an absolute farce, with all the Ipswich stuff and the recent good performances it looked like things were generally calming a little and people were beginning to rally behind the team. But of course we can't have that and some thin-skinned imbecile has decided to drop this bombshell the day before a match. To pretend that anyone at the top end of the club has anything but their own individual interests at heart would be incredibly naive - we just need to hope we get lucky and it also works in our favour for once.
  14. This was always going to be the outcome so I'm not going to get mad at it. We just have to hope we can actually turn up for a midweek fixture for once. If anything I'm more annoyed at our complete inability to provide an adequate pitch - obviously there are limits with drainage etc but lets not pretend like the pitch hasn't been an issue in general for years now.
  15. We'll sell him regardless once his contact gets low.
  16. To be fair I have no issue with the players we have at CB in terms of ability, Wharton and Carter have proven themselves solid in the past. The issue is they're both made of glass and the chances of them both being everpresent this season are slim to none.
  17. And yet we'll punt him out of the club as soon as we get the opportunity.
  18. I feel with the latter's injury record Miller & Carter are going to be a rare sight...
  19. In my eyes we've gone from "battling relegation and likely to go down" to "we'll be lucky to match Rotherham's worst total" with this squad. We were in a position where we may be able to nick some points here and there on the back of the defence. We're now going to get some serious pastings I expect.
  20. If he was considered good enough for the Championship one of those clubs (or Brum) would have kept him surely? Not saying he couldn't be alright but it's another signing that on paper looks at best "okay".
  21. Still muppets lapping it up though.
  22. Honestly it's like Gestede did all his training playing Football Manager. Flogged all his high earners and thinks he's picked up some bargains on the continent. Unfortunately, this is real life and we're now screwed. Not content with just doing it as a player, he's followed it up with a doozy.
  23. If they could get away with 11 part time players, they would.
  24. Tbf, just because someone has direct contact with the owners doesn't mean they actually care.
  25. Eustace will be grinning ear to ear watching this, he knew exactly what was coming and he's managed to pick up a lot of the players he wanted to keep for nothing AND spend a fortune to add to it. Utterly lunacy.
