  1. The fact that this is the best attacking play I've seen in quite a few matches says everything about us, because we still have no end product.
  2. I think the point is it's perspective. It's like when United fans whine about how they have the worst owners in England when it's clearly not the case.
  3. Atcheson with more attacking flair than our front 5 have in 3 months, hugely unlcuky there.
  4. This is absolutely shocking, Charlton falling over themselves and not a Rovers shirt anywhere near. All season we've had a complete inability to challenge in the air for anything.
  5. So we needed to make subs but yet again keep the same failing system? Amazing stuff.
  6. None of those things applied to us, and even if they did you don't see that level of turnover at clubs who are in and around the play-offs. Find me a team that finished that close to the play-offs that has forced out an entire squad of players and replaced them with cheap no-experience no marks.
  7. The other thing that really sticks out is that we're clearly one of the worst teams in a year where pretty much the entire league are evenly matched and in with a shout of promotion. If we'd built on last year's squad we could have made it over the line last year or this year but no, Gestede knows better.
  8. Big Baradji! Actually a good attacking passage of play for once.
  9. Yep, we got lucky that a couple of teams were out of form around October/November but we are quite possibly the worst team in the league at the moment.
  10. Val needs sacking. I hear people saying that he's doing the best we can but honestly an under 15's team would have a bigger threat than we are under him.
  11. Cov's heads are gone, that said they should have had a penalty 10 minutes ago. Could see them bottling promotion at the rate they're going.
  12. That lineup isn't getting past the halfway line.
  13. Watching Rovers you sometimes forget what actual attacking football looks like.
  14. Just watching the Brum-Cov game and the levels of intensity between their attacking play and ours are night and day. I appreciate they have more talent available to them but for me it's an attitude thing and that's down to the manager and his coaching. Fully expecting more ponderous crab football in our own half today.
  15. Which arguably is exacerbated by running him into the ground. His finishing was fine last season and seems to have dropped off a cliff and has got worse as we've gone on. He was much more effective when we had options to rotate and use tactically(regardless of what you feel about those options).
  16. We keep pulling off Henriksson when it's really Ohashi who needs the breather. Works endlessly but he's been on empty for a while because we have no backup. Especially in games where we're not even having shots, there really is no downside to giving some of the young lads a go and allowing Yuki a little respite. The less said about Henriksson's contributions the better.
  17. So if rumours are to be believed, we will have focused our "getting signings in straight away" time on bringing in a CB and recalling O'Riordan, padding out arguably the one position of least concern (except maybe goalkeeper)?
  18. They have to wait until February so any replacement can't see the transfer chaos before joining the club. 3 managers in 3 February's would be impressive even for this lot though.
  19. Charlton steamrolled us because of their direct, strong football and we had barely a shot at The Valley. Our squad has no energy and are going to get flattened. Rovers 0-3 Charlton
  20. Well we don't create anything at and we sit back passing it around our own half all the time. No point playing wing backs if they're always in a defensive position. On the CDM's, if we're not someone needs to tell Baradji and Cantwell because they're always positioned 6 feet from the back 3. In fact you could argue we play 3 CDM's on how little time they spend out ofnour half.
  21. If he's had a say in building this squad yes, to a degree. Anyone with a braincell saw Wharton and Carter getting injured for long periods and we should have already had cover. As for the hamstring injuries, a combination of our neglected facilities and nonexistent squad rotation absolutely have contributed. This is at least in part because the squad they've built isn't trusted because it isn't good enough.
  22. I think it's easier to look half decent as a central defender when you're playing in a negative back 5 with 2 CDM's sat in front. They were abysmal in a back 4 earlier in the season.
  23. Yep, and almost all of them aren't cut out for the division we're in, unsurprisingly.
  24. Actually playing for them automatically makes him a better investment than Tavares who doesn't even make the bench when we're down to the U21s.
  25. In Yuki's defence he's been absolutely run into the ground and I wouldn't be surprised if he's covered significantly more ground than the rest of our lads in his time here. He needs a rest bit to get his sharpness back but that requires Rudy doing his job properly.
