Always a yellow, zero attempt to play the ball. Buckley's a liability at the best of times. -

I will say even though it's only been 10 minites we look a lot better at moving forwards quickly with Dennis and Kargbo. -

Toth looking every bit like Leo/Pears. Who scouts these keepers? -
The text chat and radio on the BBC mentions it quite a lot and the commentator just alluded to it too.

More important to have Trav up and running for WBA tbh, couldn't give a damn about this game. -
Zero chance of the play-offs after that transfer window, especially if Eustace is going as well. The club is set up to fail. Venky's is one symptom, but it's no surprise that every club Swag has been involved in has had similar issues.
-
Oh god... it's going to be Rooney isn't it?
-
And will spend absolutely nothing on his replacement. Surely there is a limit to how many times that can happen though? Unless they are really that desperate for a paycheck your agent would have to be doing an appalling job not to warn them of the shambles behind the scenes - it's not exactly a secret and it's got significantly worse in the last 18 months.
-
This is it in a nutshell. A manager with ambition could forgive some of these, in our case the attendances, fans etc. What can't be forgiven is no transparency on the operation, the lack if ambition etc. Even the lack of investment could be forgiven to a degree if we were tying players down to long term contracts, but we're not, and we're also not really signing many players on longer contracts either. I doubt any club in the country runs with as little foresight as Rovers does.

There's a lot of "heads in the sand" reactions to this on social media platforms. Could be nothing of course but it baffles me that people can't see why someone would want to leave our basket case club.
-
No point really saying anything unless it happens, but you wouldn't blame him and if he does go to Derby it might actually open the eyes of some of the happy clappers. At most clubs such circumstances would invoke stadium wide protests but we all know that won't happen now. Eustace may have added some much needed chemotherapy but the cancer is still there, if he leaves I honestly don't know what the next steps are. For all the talk some folks say about the owners keeping the club going they currently offer NOTHING that we couldn't do under fan ownership - if anything, their presence actually hampers our ability to operate within our own means. Waggott out, Pasha out, Venkys out, in whichever order you choose.
-
We announced McGuire too...
-
It would be peak Rovers to get Dennis, Woodrow and (according to some) Bamford in on deadline day and then sign none of them.
-
On his way eh... 2023:O'Brien and the Rochdale lad 2024: McGuire 2025: Dennis?
-
I understand that, my comment was in reference to the fact we have had three players in the last 2 years "signed, sealed and delivered", that have fallen through because of sheer incompetence on our end. I won't trust anything we sign tonight until we get full confirmation tomorrow.
-
If he's not fit enough to play he doesn't tick all the boxes. Happy to help.
-
Amazing how many things Venkys do could be summed up with "but if ______, what's the point?"
-
Cracking player, but I will believe it when I see it. Sad thing is even if he has an interview and an announcement tonight we won't be able to believe it until it's ratified.
-
We're literally only going for players who aren't wanted at clubs that are generally faring worse than us. Considering the money we should have this whole farce is an embarrassment. Above Eustace there is absolutely no desire to succeed.
-
Well, considering when he was signed they weren't both fit that's not really an argument. Secondly, a signing only has to resign himself to sittjng on the bench if he's not good enough to earn his place, in which case why bother? The whole point of transfers is to improve the squad, like all our competiton is doing.
-
Majorly underwhelming, and even if it wasn't, why on earth wasn't this sorted earlier in the week so he could play tonight?
-
Duberry has offered absolutely nothing in the games I've seen, but then neither have Hedges, Dolan etc. We're just really poor in those positions.
-
Are we only shopping in the "free and out of favour with the worst team in the league" bin?

Under Venky's we rarely if ever turn up for derby games, and have won zero again this season even when in form including at home to Blackpool. With the injuries, no signings and a complete inability to put the ball in the back of the net I can't see anything but another defeat as we slide towards another battle to stay up. Rovers 0-2 PNE -
Also interesting that a club that needs to be self-sufficient and maximising advertising revenue can only get sponsors that are within 10 minutes of the stadium. I've said it before, but if the club is going to be completely self-sufficient then there is zero reason for having anyone owning the club other than the supporters. If they're not going to sell, and they're not going to fund - WHAT IS THE POINT?
