I think Carsley has made it very clear that he cannot organise a defence in the slightest. -

It's amazing that we supposedly have so many world class creative players yet all they do is pass slowly forward, turn around and pass slowly back again. It's been a problem for a while, we created nothing the entire Euros either. Compare that to Spain for example who were explosive with their attacking and caused constant issues for their opponents. -

Players have club football that gives them the experience and knowledge to help bridge the massive gap between youth and adult football. Someone who manages the youth sides doesn't have another gig on the side that bridges the knowledge gap. For me (though he did of course manage some clubs) this is one reason Southgate didn't work out. He was constantly out-managed in big games. -

I don't follow this argument really, there isn't necessarily an issue with not playing two holding midfielders, just play a normal formation instead of that abomination last night. 7 midfielders plus 3 defenders who want to be midfielders and not a single on of them actually playing in midfield! If the score had been 5-0 it wouldn't have been undeserved, but this is why you don't just choose someone because they used to work with the kids. Still think Wharton is the answer, but that Palace move may actually stunt his progress on the international stage unless City take a punt. -
John Eustace - our head coach
RTM08 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
8th in the league means nothing when we're not even a quarter through the season... for exactly the same reason Eustace's record at Birmingham last year is not indicative of him being the messiah some would have you believe. The table is so bunched up it is heavily swayed by fixture difficulty, and ours has not been that hard. -

Explains why he fits Swag perfectly. Someone explain to me why the club expects people to fork out hundreds if not thousands of pounds throughout the season when this attitude seeps out of every pore of the club. Away at a team at the top of the league that would make sense, away at Plymouth though? Then the second question comes - the plan was not to concede, and then we did anyway, but the plan stayed the same 1-0 down? Why? -

He also said that we came with a gameplan not to concede and that we conceded uncharacteristically. Sounds like there was no real plan to attack, just to sit back and hope for the best. Talks complete and total guff. -

Prediction: That's the last we'll see of the Top 6 this season. -

Abysmal performance but if that secures a point we'll take it. Big, big international break coming up because the fixtures on this side of it were much kinder than what is to come. -

I was hoping we'd turned over a new leaf this season following how poor I though we were under Eustace last season. I didn't expect us to stay unbeaten but at least it was looking like we'd do okay this season. We're now started to see that League One bound Rovers come in to play again. If he's getting tactically outclassed this badly by Wayne Rooney we may as well get rid of him now. Eusless is well and truly back. -

At least if Dolan gets sent off JE won't be able to pick him next game. -

Spends Tuesday complaining about how the performance wasn't good enough - makes no changes, same happens again. John Eustace: https://media.wired.com/photos/5f87340d114b38fa1f8339f9/master/w_1600%2Cc_limit/Ideas_Surprised_Pikachu_HD.jpg -

Another appallingly bad performance. Whilst we were grinding out points you can just about deal with them but if this is the sign of things to come we are going to plummet when the fixtures start coming in quick over winter. Anyone who had seen us for at least the last few weeks would have seen this coming which is why the talk of us being favourites before the game was laughable. -

Carter is fine when he's not forced out wide. Another game where we cannot defend. I got mass downvoted in the PNE game for saying both them and the Dingles will finish above us but I stand by it. We look atrocious at present and I think that we will be glad we started well come the end of the season. Dolan should have been sold the second he refused to sign a contract. -

To be honest he's been bailed out a bit by the fact that Carter has been shunted out wide and Wharton is our long-term, and McFadz is not really suited to a back four. When Brittain is back then I'd like to see us try Carter and Batth in the middle. -
If the were refereed properly it would help. To my knowledge at least ourselves, Leeds and now Preston were robbed by some of the worst refereeing possible.

I guess there is an argument to be made that if the reaction is there then it's fine. We'll have to wait and hope for the best. -

Doesn't seem to want to play him anywhere any more. Weird when you think how pivotal he was to our fortunes under JDT and TM in spells. -
They spent a ton of money and have Scott Parker managing them, that's literally it. Parker is a no mark manager whose success is 100% down to outspending the league and scraping by.

Are we favourites to win? Maybe on league position, but we've been awful for a few games running and we've yet to win away from home. As a side note, at this point I'm just going to assume Pear is our no.1 until he chooses to retire. -
Did the Suarez ban length take into account the fact he'd done it before in the Netherlands? Genuine question. 4 games would be a joke though, especially considering he got to play last night.

Tbf Pears has always looked like a world beater in every 1 in 10 games. The problem has always been the other 9. -

No point looking at those two, they will probably end the season on close to double the amount of points we will have and in Burnley's case especially that should be the case considering the financial disparities. -

We were lucky in the last 2 with the 10 men... Preston especially could have put 2 or 3 past us... I fully expect this to be the highest we'll be all season. This lot don't have the stones to deal with things when it gets tough.
