  1. Boy, have things flipped! At the end of January we were looking rudderless, devoid of ideas and as I made vocal on here I was all for punting JDT, but the last month has been a breath of fresh air! Somehow, despite no real investment he has turned it around and made us somewhat attractive. The cup run as well has only boosted everyone involved with the club. That said, I won't be getting carried away, it's a close race and we have one of the hardest run-ins in the league (at least as far as league places go). If we take it a game at a time there's no reason we can't secure a play-off place, and if we can beat Sheff Utd again in the cup that could be a huge psychological bonus if they end up getting caught by Boro who are a different beast at the moment. Each game is going to be tough and I'm glad that someone on the commercial side has clearly used their brain cells to pull people in to Ewood with incentives. I only wish I lived closer to take advantage of it!
  2. Every single time they come forwards it's Morton dallying about. How on earth has he come from Liverpool of all teams?
  3. Sorry guys... I've been watching for about 4 minutes. This one's on me.
  4. Another game where we offer literally nothing going forwards. It amazes me I'm seeing people calling fans "fickle" for not wanting to watch us make no effort to win the game again and again and again. Surely JDT's football wasn't this bad in Sweden?
  5. At least Big Sam would throw the kitchen sink in the last 10 mins ic possible - I can't imagine this team pushing to chase a goal at any scoreline.
  6. We haven't all season. Aren't we the worst in the league for chance creation? It's probably why we're so eye-numbingly boring to watch.
  7. Or we decided it wasn't worth adding extra expense on a player that likely was only going in the U21's anyway, especially as they've said he will join in the summer regardless. O'Brien is the one that affects the here and now, and therefore much more important.
  8. Doesn't really matter. As much as I wanted him out, his Sunderland have created more chances in this one game than we have in months. We've gone backwards considerably.
  9. I said it a few weeks ago and the transfer window and recent performances have hammered it home - if we keep it below 5 I'll be very surprised.
  10. So... what happened to that winnable run of games we had? We'll get hammered in the next few and plunge down the table to where we belong. Not ruling out us being pulled into the relegation fight, and let's be honest, our players don't have the balls.
  11. We create chances and concede goals at relegation team levels and have all season. Tactics have been off a lot more than they've been good.
  12. Tbh after all this talk of JDT maybe leaving because of transfers, I couldn't care less if he did. He doesn't seem to have a clue.
  13. This team is so bereft of goals to the point where I just don't understand what the gameplan is. People thought Allardyce was negative but at least he played to the team's strengths.
  14. Unsurprisingly only swapping a nonexistent striker for a winger in January has not improved our play one bit. Good job everyone!
  15. What is our obsession with looking at wide forwards with awful goal scoring records? Just scout an actual striker for once!
  16. This whole saga hammers home to me why I don't engage with Rovers anywhere near as much as I used to (moving away from Blackburn aside) - everything we do has to be drawn out in the most torturous manner and honestly, it's exhausting.
  17. Not to mention the clubs who will probably want to avoid a situation like this one where they potentially have to pay a player to sit in the reserves for 6 months.
  18. Everyone knows the deadline, every other club bar a couple of very last minute ones sorted it, most with weeks of the window left. If it's the case it's been blocked, it's beyond amateur and certain higher-ups needing punting.
  19. If that's the case heads need to roll. To get first team players out the door and replaced by literally nothing? All our rivals got business done early and yet again we're scrabbling around at the 11th hours. What happened to this improved recruitment structure?
  20. It would help if we stopped wasting ridiculous wages on dross loans from PL teams. I can count on one hand how many of them have actually been worth the outlay in the last 5 years.
  21. Weird thing is, his position is exactly where the younger players should be - in and around the squad for when Dack is unavailable. Nice bloke, but bizarre signing, especially when you consider how long we've been crying out for a good CF/CM.
  22. I'd agree, but even other teams with no money manage to get players in in a timely manner. Something is rotten with our specific transfer hierarchy and has been for a while.
