I love that Ronaldo is so unlikeable that my partner who hates football will engage in a Portugal match just to cheer the opposition. He's spent the entire half making it all about him and looking like he's about to cry. Quality stuff.

It's not really entitlement to think you shouldn't be second favourites against a team 14 places below you in the rankings. You can be cautious of their dangers, but the fact most are expecting them to be the better team shows that the team are performing way before where they should be. It's like if Chelsea fans expected to get battered by Ipswich.

Also, De Bruyne and Lukaku have to be two of the worst "big game" players in the history of football.

You can see why neither of these teams topped their groups. Ref seems bent though, yet to see him give anything to Belgium, some utterly bizarre decisions.

Yamal a permanent fixture despite being 16 because he's good enough, whereas England won't even use some 20+ year olds because of their age despite playing others of similar ages because of their clubs. England need to get out of this attitude of name and club power as well as this turgid anti-football mentality. Also, Spain showing us what a team with an actual chance of winning the trophy looks like. Georgia have been well but Spain have dominated and forced the opposition to play their game, rather than playing all timid.

Both teams significantly better on the ball than us, in different ways. Both teams with a lot more desire too.

I wish I could believe but one word that describes this team so far has definitely not been "quality"

Not sure I can agree with that. He's created nothing, his set pieces have been abysmal and his inclusion on the left forces that side to be far too narrow. I think he was as bad as the other two in the last two games because they've all been bad.

Toney's honestly moved more in 5 minutes than Kane has in 4 games. Funny how that makes a difference, Kane obviously is an elite finisher but he's clearly injured.

Maybe Toney should have been playing for longer
