  1. I think if he just came out and said "we were second best, we've got some stuff to go and work on in the week ahead" I'd be able to stomach him a bit more. Fans appreciate honesty, they generally don't appreciate blatant lying, especially after over a decade of it from almost everybody associated with the club.
  2. A couple of more games and he'll have a worse record than Berg and Appleton. No win at Boro and we should be seriously considering giving it to Damian Johnson, similar to what we did when Gary Bowyer took over. Gets on well with the players and is popular enough with the fans to bring everyone together for the final push. This anti-football is only making the fans turn quicker, and as much as he's pretending otherwise it doesn't look like the players are exactly into it.
  3. Ultimately, this is the biggest test yet - not necessarily in terms of opposition but Eustace has a week to prepare. If we're still as bad as we have been in the last week or so then I don't see how he can possibly be here after the international break (he wouldn't be at a serious club at least). At best we'll get a draw, but we've been lucky to even do that in the last week and even the customary Sammie goal won't be enough here. Boro 3-1 Rovers.
  4. Don't be silly, we were getting battered way before that and would likely have conceded anyway. Agree on Eustace unfortunately, he's got to go. He has less urgency than the players and that's saying something.
  5. Another team who swapped to a manager, difference being is that he wants to win games and understands they need to win games at home and take points away.
  6. Even if we hold on I'm expecting "It's a great point in the circumstances against a really good side..." Eustace out. Even Berg won a game ffs.
  7. Shock horror. This club needs nuking in the summer and starting from scratch.
  8. The worst part of this is that on paper this is the weakest team we have left and we're getting battered, even before the sending off. Our goal difference is going to get massacred by the top 4.
  9. Not anymore. Good guy McFadz forcing the back 4.
  10. It's really easy - if a team like Millwall is sitting back and we need the win, actually go for it. The fans will get behind you and push you into them, and the opposition will have more pressure on them. Tapping it around the back 5 and making no effort to win a game, especially when you are in the position we are, is obviously going to get the fans on your back. I can't remember the last manager whose interviews grated like this. I don't even remember Coyle being this annoying.
  11. Maybe it's his current comments but if we do go down I'd want Eustace nowhere near a League One campaign - I honestly can't understand what it is that has him so highly regarded at St Andrews. In any case, if we end up in league one it needs a full reset, with Waggott and Broughton gone. We won't be coming back next season without a miracle. On the game on Saturday, all the noises coming out of the team seem to be trying to offload all of the pressure onto the fans, which considering the run we're on is only going to backfire if they don't turn up again. I get that the fans in general are not in the best of moods at the moment, but that's why it require the likes of Hyam and Szmodics to motivate the team to give the fans a reason to make some noise. That isn't tapping it around the back for half an hour, it's actually going for it in arguably our only winnable game left. Rovers 1-1 Plymouth
  12. The more he talks the clearer it is that he was a panic choice because JDT was leaving and Waggott needed someone to spout pleasantries to try and keep at least the happy clappers on side. The sooner he goes the better, talks the talk and that's literally it.
  13. We had to win tonight and Saturday to have even a slight chance of staying up I feel. The lack of desire or effort shown yet again shows me that this isn't going to change. There are maybe five people in the entire player/management/corporate structure that I would care about not being here next season. I can take being awful, I can't take being awful and not trying.
  14. We will be desperate for money and we've proven we don't care about getting market value for players.
  15. Maybe he should give it one on the pitch for once. The fact that he's captain over Sammie is a joke.
  16. We're all in it together though! Why won't you happy clap along?
  17. They made a shrewd appointment instead of panicking and picking the first bum willing to take the job.
  18. Game over. John Useless out!
  19. So we've traded pretty but ineffective football to abysmal but ineffective football. Nothing I've seen so far makes me want Eustace here longer than this month let alone past this season.
  20. Imagine if they were actuslly up front with these things instead of just dragging them out every game
  21. Even away from the keeper, the fact that he was whining about how tired everyone was and has picked basicslly the same team is majorly worrying. It's not enough but with that lineup I'd take a draw.
  22. Clearly a tactic with the new appointment to make the fans turn on each other rather than management. Every interview since JDT left has been all "we're all in this together" and "we need the fans" yet as far as I can tell the fans are literally the only ones who have held up their end of the bargain all season.
  23. Exactly this, this squad has no fight in any game that requires any pressure. We're as good as down, and Waggott's cheerleader won't be able to do a thing about it. Would love to be wrong
  24. I have no expectation that we'll get even one point if I'm honest.
  25. If he has said that then for me his position is untenable, but he's honestly here mostly as a shield for upper management anyway so it won't change anything. You can't run a club where the people running it feel nothing but contempt for it.
