  1. Fantastic! Guardiola is a horrible loser and seeing proper fans get to celebrate will always be a plus.
  2. Wasn't he pointing out the head injury? Anyway, for me any rivalry with Palace is so long ago that a large majority of fans for both teams will have no idea about it. I'll take any club beating one of the the Sky 6 (obvious exceptions aside), especially one with a Rover in the starting 11. So far so good but there's a long way to go.
  3. I thought the owners can put in whatever money they wanted and there was no issues? If so, the women's team should be easy enough to maintain. Of course, that was nonsense soundbites to appease sycophants and the ignorant.
  4. Whatever your thoughts on Dolan, it's yet another example of the "inject young players and sell on for a profit" model that Rudy mentioned that just fails to make any sense at any level. Either tie them down or sell them on, stop letting players go for free!
  5. Always was apart from the odd 24 hour blip.
  6. It's nice that we're basically giving him the option to get a number of them for free or as little as possible. Amazing forward planning by the board.
  7. If there's anything as likely as Rovers losing to relegation contenders it's them turning up after all hope of actually achieving something is actually gone. That said, much improved today!
  8. I'll never be disappointed that we've won a game and am pleased with the win, but I'm not going to pretend that anything has changed like others seem to think, especially considering the wider picture. We play like that against most of the clubs in the leagues and we're coming away with nothing, and its likely next season the squad is even worse. You've answered your own question.
  9. We beat a poor Luton team, and did basically nothing of note all game. Yeah, they obviously had the man advantage for a little while but this was still a relegation level performance against a team that look like they might struggle even in League One. I'm not buying into the narrative I keep seeing on social media that this is some kind of miracle turnaround following the Sheff Weds second half.
  10. Glad for the win but no need to get carried away. We scraped our way past the worst side in the division and are still showing me nothing to suggest Ismael is a good choice for manager.
  11. Ohashi is leagues better than Gueye and we missed him a lot. Still think that he shouldn't be starting in a team with ambition, but certainly a valuable squad player.
  12. Anyone who doesn't have hamstrings made of Weetabix is an improvement on JRC at this point unfortunately.
  13. You know full well the fact we came back from 2 down has given Ismael at least another 6 months in the job though.
  14. We'd still lose against nine so I wouldn't worry too much.
  15. It's a good job we played Burnley in January before JE left because the result with this lot would make that JDT Turf Moor performance look like a miracle.
  16. I've heard so much about how well training is going and how VI is putting his touch on the squad. If that's the case wtf is he teaching them because we are utterly incapable of any basic fundamental of football, attacking or defending.
  17. You say that but it would be their perfect excuse for them not to invest anything (not that they will anyway).
  18. Glad I went out last night and didn't bother with the game, because we are oh so predictable. At any other club Ismael and Gestede especially would be sacked this weekend. Neither of them are capable of their roles and I cannot imagine what on earth they saw from Ismael's demeanour and attitude that made him think "yes, this is the perfect manager for a team of lower league misfits who are performing on the vibes of team spirit". He is literally the exact opposite of the criteria I'd have been looking for to finish the season.
  19. Head says we'll get another pasting and do nothing, but history tells us that once the pressure is off and we write the table off the players learn how to play. That said, I don't see it under Ismael because he's absolutely clueless. Rovers 0-2 Boro, Rovers to have 2 shots all game.
  20. 11 points behind us as it stands. Highly unlikely but knowing us under Venkys I wouldn't put it past them to finish above us at the rate both teams are going.
  21. That's where I'm at now. Acting as if managers being sacked all the time as the same as a manager leaving us for the BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE. Clear that they made zero effort to keep him. This whole interview is so unbelievably predictable and at no point so far has any accountability been taken.
  22. Considering some of the guff we've signed this season, I'd argue Gestede should be packing his bags too. Yet another example of why you don't hire amateurs at this level of football.
  23. It's not going to get any better for us either, the teams he's had to play so far have been some of the worst the league. Insipid, uninspiring dross and is 100% a reflection of him as a manager.
  24. You clearly didn't warch 90% of the games under Southgate then. 17 shots, albeit not a lot of quality in them. Gareth would have sat with 2 DMs passing it around the back 6 for 45 mins. Things won't change overnight.
  25. We're actually creating chances. Under Southgate we'd create one or two chances all game in a tie like this. Only criticisms so far is that a few have clearly been chosen on name value alone (Rashford, James for example) and our shooting has been poor.
